Should have drank it sooner. It appears to have turned, which could have been due to a number of factors, including the temperature at which it had been kept.

That is the first sign that wine has gone bad. When it tastes like vinegar. You either got a hold of a defective bottle or it was in your refrigerator or cabinet for too long after opening. I'm no wine snob but that's what I've heard. An open bottom will go bad if you don't seal it with one of those special sealers that pumps the air out.

A colleague once told me, years ago, that with age, my tastes would change. They haven't. I'll still drink the dry wines if that's all there is, but I much prefer the sweet ones, as I always did.
Wine is meant to be sweet, otherwise you wouldn't have song lyrics like "kisses sweeter than wine" or "tasting much sweeter than wine."
Try a fortified wine, such as a sweet sherry, liqueur muscat, liqueur port, tawny port, etc., or a light wine, such as a fruity lexia, lambrusco or chardonnay.
Don't know what you drank, but I'm guessing it was a dry red.

It may have turned to vinegar if open too long, or stored at the wrong temperture.
