My fiancee and I are hosting a buffet for our families: 14 people in total. We're struggling with ideas for food to buy/put out for the lunch buffet and the tea buffet. Any suggestions appreciated!

I've had good/real chai in the US before, but could never figure out how to make it myself. I just got back from India and got to drink a lot of chai there. But pretty much, all that stuff they sell that they label 'chai', none of it really tastes like it. I try make it with milk and what not but it always just tasted kinda like normal tea, chai is thicker, tastes almost more like hot chocolate than tea...

I am trying to think of a recipe that includes ground beef, but for the life of me, I can't think of anything but pasta. So, I was hopeing that some 'awesome' answer addict would be so kind as to shared some of their recipes that have ground beef in them..

What is the main component of red meat that makes it taste so good? Is it the blood? Does the blood and juices combine or individually change their chemical composition to create that steaky flavor we carnivores all love? Is it just the overall combo of the cooked proteins, iron in the blood, A-1 sauce, lol, etc?

I do not understand why some monks eat meat. I have read different things online about it, but I would like to get your opinion on it also. If monks want to be at peace with all things, why would they not all choose vegetarianism.

I'm wondering why some people have given up eggs?

Health reasons?
Animal-related reasons (explain)?
Morals?

I, personally, have never found eggs morally wrong (which is the reason I became a vegetarian), so long as the chickens are local. I can understand why they can be disgusting for some people, but I just want further insight into things.
