Food & Drink - 17 August 2007

My fiance and I have set our wedding date for June 7, 2008 (06-07-08) but are trying to decide exactly what we want, we have very limited finaces as I will be in college, we want to make sure our family is there but he is German and has a HUGE family, as for me I really only have about 15 family members to invite. We want out family to be there with us on our special day so any ways to cut cost would be appreciated. Also inexpensive recption ideas as we would like to invite more friends to the reception.

A fish is a living being, has a central nervous system so it can feel pain just like a cow or chicken, yet, its ok for "vegetarians" to eat fish because they say its not, so someone please provide me with links, documentation something, anything that proves to me that fish is not a meat.

I am making teriyaki skirt steak for dinner tonight. I really love caramelized onions and am going to make them.. but dont necessarily want to put them on my steak (thats what i always do.) Is their another dish I can make with caramelized onions?

Can anyone think of sides to go with teriyaki skirt steak? I have rice... texas toast... and just other basic ingredients.

In case that description was too weak here's the deal: I purchased a decanter full of scotch. The stopper for it seemed a bit big, but I thought nothing of it. Since putting the stopper into the decanter, it has become quite stuck. I am afraid of just pulling it out because it could easily separate the cork from the stopper and ruining the entire stopper. Any ideas? I thought putting the decanter into the freezer may help or something...

Lunch: sandwich bar with cheese, turkey, and chicken patties. Plain white bread and sandwich buns. Lettuce, tomato, and mayo. Spicy buffalo wings (for adults). Assorted chips.

Snack: Chocolate chip cookies, assorted chips, juice, soda.

Dinner: Lasagna (home made), Salad, Butter chicken (indian cuisine), Chicken Tikka (indian cuisine), Palak Paneer (indian cuisine), Rotli/ Naan, Rice.

Dessert: Cookies n Cream ice cream and watermelon

I know it's a lot of food but I cook fast...lol. Is it a good menu?

I still have half of a avocado left & would lkie to use the rest for dinner later; I don't have any lime or lemon juice to keep it from turning brown...Can I still use it once it turns brown as long as I use it the same day? I have it kept in the fridge in a zip lock bag right now.

Okay, I don't get it. I've been baking moist, delicious brownies since the beginning of time, it seems! That's baking 101! 9 months ago, I moved from my home to my fiance's home. He has an electric stove and oven. I hate electric stoves, I've almost always had gas ranges. Anyway, I haven't been able to make a decent batch of brownies since I moved here! It's got to be the oven! Nothing else is different, just an electric oven instead of gas. I've tried leaving them in nearly to the point of starting to burn, but they are still too gooey in the middle, I mean needing-a-spoon-gooey! What can I do to make them turn out right? Serious answers only, please!

I partied last night till 4:00 in the morning i ended up being at work at 9:30 please i feel like **** i feel dizzy i feel like throwing up bad, i already did but i still feel this way.
