Contrary to your beliefs the food in the UK is very good, I think its on par with most countries,if not all. But even here the food differs as to whether you live in the North, East, South, or West. I'm a Southerner (London) so I will recommend to you Jellied Eels, or Pie Mash & Liquor. There are many fine Restaurants but I think you will find these can be quite expensive.
Steak pudding,Fish & Chips, Roast Beef & Yorkshire Pudding etc so all I can say is ENJOY.
PS. You dont get gravy on your sandwiches. I guess your from the U.S.A so you`ll know what I mean. lol

We eat loads of stuff. We have restaurants with food from all over the world. You should try a good British pub and have something like steak and ale pie or a shephards pie!! Yum.

As said b4 you must a Sunday roast dinner and a good fish & chip shop.

But as i said, if you are in a big town or city you can eat anything from mexican to french. Enjoy your trip. :) x

Hi
it depends on where you are going but in most large towns you will fined a wide range of cuisine. English food is very good if the chef is good at the job, no need for stodgy puddings, or greasy Luke warm food. and don't except it if it is crap complain!

The food here is great. You actually get to taste the food, itself, not just a load of goopy sauces that other places pour on to disguise their awful food.

The English don't go much on loads of ice or iced drinks because they like to taste their drinks. Ice and iced drinks overchill the tongue and dull the sense of taste, which can help if you are drinking awful American 'beer'

spag bol and chicken tikka massalla are our favourite and most popular dishes but if you want to be really British try sausage and mash with onion gravy, or fish and chips but they need to be from a really good chippy, I can recommend one in the Blackpool area, and you must try Devon scones with jam and clotted cream mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
