How about a rum punch for the alcohol, here's a recipe I thought looked good for Fruity rum punch,

1 1/2 cups rum
1/3 cup banana liqueur
1 dash grenadine syrup
1 (6 ounce) can frozen orange juice concentrate
1 (6 ounce) can frozen pineapple juice concentrate
1 orange, sliced into rounds
1 lime, sliced into rounds
1 lemon, sliced into rounds
DIRECTIONS
In a large punch bowl, prepare the orange and pineapple juice according to package directions. Stir in the rum, banana liqueur and Grenadine. Float slices of orange, lime and lemon on top.

I would try to match the non alcoholic punch with your decorations, either a pretty red sparkling punch, virgin banana daquiris for yellow, or something like that.

You know, there are always the tropical fruit drinks to fall back on but really, as long as you toss an umbrella into the drink, wrap the base of the stem of the glass in a little flowery lei type of thing (elastic flowery bracelts are perfect for this) you can turn any drink, even the dryest martini (my personal favorite) into a tikini.

Any alcoholic drinks, the rummier the better, plus coladas and daquiries.

I LOVE Tikis...be sure to get tiki glasses, swizzle sticks, lights...grass skirts...so fun!

I've found that kids LOVE it when they can have the "same kind" of drinks as the adults.

Ex. Adult drinks are all blended and served w/umbrella in glass (pina colada or margarita etc)...Kids can order the same thing, get it in the same glass w/an umbrella except it's got no alcohol in it (pina colada smoothie etc). Barman will differentiate by straw colours (pastels for kids/dark colours for alcohol drinks etc).

This is my mom's recipe for Virgin Island Punch. (Does it count as "tiki"??)

1 gallon OJ
1/2 gallon pineapple juice
1 qt. peach nectar
1 qt. pear nectar
1 small bottle grenadine syrup

Mix it all up, adding the grenadine last. It's a really pretty orange-ish color and it's really good, I grew up drinking it. Adults can add rum if they want.

You can do a tropical punch.....Get a large punch bowl, 2 can of Hawaiian Punch frozen, two bottles of 7-up, some pineapple, oranges and other tropical garnishes.....you can make 2 add rum to one.....
