My mum has been advised to reduce her intake of potatoes due to arthritis. Can any of you recommend a good substitute that will go with most dinners.

She had couscous yesterday - any recommendations how she can make it more interesting.

Also sweet potatoes - what's the best way to cook them? Can they be steamed?

Is there any difference between cupcake and muffin?

I have seen no difference...
And yet my teacher said there's a difference...
I'hv seen pictures of cupcake and muffin, the only thing i found was that cupcake had cream, whereas muffin had no at all...
Is this the difference? But it sounds weird though...

Heyy; well, this Friday I am going to have a sleepover with a couple of friends, we are going to watch High School Musical 2, but its not really a themed party. I can not come up with what to have for dinner, I love pizza, but im sick & tired of pizza every time there is a sleepover, although it is a must, I want a change. haha. I know, whats wrong with me? Well I cut part of a butternut squash into small peices put them on a baking pan, then I drizzled a little olive oil on them, then sprinkled ground cracked pepper, cumin, and cinnamon on them and baked them, does that sound ok for a 1 am snack??

It's really "burning" my tounge and throat. But some people seem to enjoy it. Biting chili seems "normal".
Do people actually have different tounge and throat ? Some people seem dont feel the burning at all.

If it is :
because they are "used to", that means they felt the burning when they first tasted it, I would think they would stop.

A little bit of spicy is fine and fun, but some people really like it sooooo hot.

Any anatomical reason in the tounge and throat behind it?
Is hot hot hot chili OK for the stomach ??

PS.
I hope my English is OK. If not, just correct it pls, dont hit me . It's painful .

I just remember those juice's that starbucks sold that had was not safe and had to be recalled, so how do I know what organic food are very safe to eat and drink?
I just bought organic milk for the 1st time and I love the taste! I was very surprised that is is pasteurized.....call me dumb cuz I know nothing about organic food
I also try to buy eggs that are from caged free chicken's.

I recently found this really good website to get my recipes from but when it comes to avocadoes all they have is dips and the same tomatoe, avocado, and cheese sandwich that EVERYONE keeps sending in recipes for. (Not that sandwiches are bad, but a different one would be nice ^_^)

Last year cooler nights stopped the figs from ripening. Is there a good use for green ones. I have a recipe or two, but I am not sure they'll be worth it. Do you have a recipe you have used? What were they like? Crunchy? Sweet? Tart? Etc.
