Hmmmmm. I have been saving it for years. It keeps well in a tightly cover dish for 4 days with no problem. I reheat it in the microwave with the lid on but not sealed and on a pulse cycle such as defrost. Taste as good as when it was made.

It will stay good a week under refrigeration.

Better yet freeze into portion. Freezer to microwave to mouth....life doesn't get any better.

I don't even like Mac and Cheese. The smell is too strong for me and makes me want to vomit whenever I smell it.

i've never had that problem. indeed mac and cheese tends to hold very well. you must cover it well or put in a tupperware or other snap-lid container so it doesn't dry out.

Try making it homemade-it keeps much better than the crap in the box.
