Would like to get my friend some funky wine glasses for her birthday. She will be 30 and is literally the woman who has everything! Thought some different wine glasses (as she likes a tiple!) may be a good idea.

in a bottle other than the one I got it in, will it 'go flat' like wine? Just curious.....I doubt it will but I don't want to risk any liquor to experiment lol

I've never had wine before and I really want to try it, but I don't even know where to start. I tried googling it but just came up with a guide to what kinds of wine there are - not what is best to start with. Any ideas? Or even a wine most people like?

I've been a vegetarian for a couple of months now and have continued to eat cheese and eggs. Recently I was told that some cheese has enzymes from baby cow's stomaches. When you look at the ingrediant list it just says enzymes. How do you know what type of enzyme is in the cheese? Any links would be appreciated. I'm especially interested in sliced cheese.

I've always been kinda shy, but is it ok if I dont party/drink? I've never been drunk, but the idea just doesn't sound appealing to me. Is there something wrong with me? Am I boring? I feel like I'm the only one not drinking/partying.

I've had chicken feet fixed two different ways. One recipe is generally called "golden phoenix claws" on the net- I don't like this one; the texture is broken down to goo.

I've had them fixed another way from a Chinatown market. It was probably steamed, but had a slight sesame oil flavour to it. The feet were intact, but the skin soft and fully cooked.

I haven't the recipe, but if anyone knows how to fix the second one there, please tell me.

If you don't know, please don't post any stupid answers.

I have tried all kinds of brownie mixes including the ones prepakaged that you just spread into the pan? They don't get done and are half baked and then when I bake them past the timing suggested that become very hard? Any suggestion out their?

A few years ago I was in Iowa for a political event & I found a place called the Amana colonies. They had the most WONDERFUL wines. Dandelion. Rhubarb. etc. Unfortunatley, I was flying & I could not bring back alot of the bottles. Iowa law prevents them from shipping the wine except for a few neighboring states. Does anybody know either how I can get them legally shipped to Houston, TX (i.e. mail forwarding from one of the legal states?) or if there is another way to get some of those wonderful Amana wines. Ackerman was the winery I bought from but I know all of the Amana style wines are wonderful. One day I do plan to drive there if I don't have a choice but perhaps there is another option? Please advise.

Every time I attempt to make an apple pie its always a disaster. Either the crust is hard or the pie is full of apple juices and makes everything soggy.
Does someone have a recipe for making a perfect apple pie? I've tried about three different recipes already and none have worked out for me.

Also, What type of apples are best for making apple pies?

My wife insists on reusing the plastic spring water bottles for drinking water. The label on the bottles clearly says in bold letters “do not reuse.” Her argument is that if the plastic is not safe to reuse, why do they put the spring water in them in the first place. I remember reading somewhere that, once used, the plastic in these bottles breaks down and gets into the refilled drinking water. I can’t convince my wife that it’s not good to reuse these bottles. Does anyone have an expert opinion on this subject?

I'm having my sons first birthday party outside at a big park. There will be 50-60 friends and family, and I want to serve some food, but not have a big cookout/dinner. So far I'm doing:

* Cake and Icecream
* Chips
* Chex Mix, Cheese Nips or M&M's
* Finger Sandwiches
* Veggie Trays w/ dip
* Diced Fruit
* BBQ Meatballs

But that isn't enough food. I need more ideas! I won't have a lot of time to prepare everything, so I need easy (preferably inexpensive) ideas.
Thanks!
