in a bottle other than the one I got it in, will it 'go flat' like wine? Just curious.....I doubt it will but I don't want to risk any liquor to experiment lol

*I mean other than in a flask, like a regular bottle.

You would quickly want to transfer the liquor from one container to another. Exposure to air can cause it to lose some of its "bite." After the transfer, seal it tight and place it somewhere that it is dark so light cannot dissipate its contents (sometimes light can act on liquor like air can act on soda pop). Wine will turn very sour, like vinegar in most instances, but in the right conditions, properly stored wine can last a long time and maintain its taste. Liquors like bourbon, cognac, and whiskey (the hard dark liquors) maintain their consistency if kept secure and free from the elements.

Hard liquor doesn't go flat, it's not carbonated. Wine goes bad, turns to vinegar, when exposed to air. I wouldn't think that changing the glass bottle that it's stored in would make a difference unless it could pick up some flavor left behind in the bottle. It will evaporate if not sealed tightly.
