I love my slow cooker and use it quite often. The food does taste better. I like it because I can put my dinner on and then go about doing other things while it cooks. It dosen't heat up the kitchen as well.

Slow cookers tent to lock in the flavor better than stove top cooking. The heat and steam generated by the slow cooker recirculates the flavors normally lost in stove top cooking and the meats are far more tender because of it.

All food can taste good, it depends on the spices and what the food is.
Of course, I like anything.
Maybe the reason the slow-cooker tends to taste better is because you don't have to fuss with it.
Food other people make usually tastes better to me.

I don't know about these answers
But I have what is called a heat spreader a metal hot plate like.
I set my pot on it (and the burner) and reduce the flame to it's minimum...I cover the pot within the hour the mix is boiling
Presto stove top crock pot
I do this with my spaghetti sauce.
propane I "think" is more expensive than electricity

Yes they do. I do not have an answer why but when you cook a beef stew for example for some reason the taste is soo much better.

I think stove top cooking is better. I only use my slow cooker for convenience to cook stews, soups etc.

depends on what you make. i think most things cooked slowly and longer tend to blend/meld flavors nicely and are just delish
but i can't complain about quick fix meals that only take a few min either.

When you slow cook things like meats, they stay juicy and tender...
When you fast cook them, they tend to be more dry and tough...
