It's really "burning" my tounge and throat. But some people seem to enjoy it. Biting chili seems "normal".
Do people actually have different tounge and throat ? Some people seem dont feel the burning at all.

If it is :
because they are "used to", that means they felt the burning when they first tasted it, I would think they would stop.

A little bit of spicy is fine and fun, but some people really like it sooooo hot.

Any anatomical reason in the tounge and throat behind it?
Is hot hot hot chili OK for the stomach ??

PS.
I hope my English is OK. If not, just correct it pls, dont hit me . It's painful .

I have a reason for asking. Some of the answers lead to what I want to know.

i don't know. i'm one of those that like it very hot. i like the effect of capsicum, feels like your head is coming off. opens up the sinuses. gets the blood circulating. some are different, i've had people say "oh it's sooo hot." and i can't taste the spice. hot? i don't think so. chili is very good for digestion, hotter the better.

here's one, have you heard about chocolate dipped jalapenos? yumm.

I don't eat hot spicy at all. I wasn't raised up on it. I don't even like black pepper. Tongue is spelled like I spelled it, otherwise your spelling is good. I notice that a lot of people love hot spicy foods. I don't understand how they can stand that hotness. It makes me cringe, to think about it. They put a lot of hot peppers in things on the food channel. It seems every cook uses hot chilis for every meat or vegetable. I won't eat it!

It's a chemical called capsaicin that causes the sensation. Some people are more susceptible and some less. I personally like it-I think it tastes good. You would have to eat an awful lot to hurt your stomach-remember, there's hydrochloric acid in there.

Chili is fantastic and it's very good for your metabolism.
I started on a small amount in broth soup, then gradually increased it and now can enjoy it in fantastic dishes and meals. Chili in pasta is amazing.
Oooh i'm hungry now

Because their tastebuds are dead from drinking Starbuck coffee. Some people were raised with that as part of their diet and like the flavor. I did until I couldn't anymore because of the acid generation. Still really enjoy a medium roasted chipotle sauce.

it is habit forming, I love hot chili and put it on lots of things, a good sidebar is that it speeds up your matabolism, hence aiding digestion and weight loss
