I went to a Japanese restaurant near Chicago and the chef brought a bowl with this yellow mouse-like mixture. He spooned some of this mixture on the grill while he prepared lobster and beef teppankayi for us. It was so good! I think it had some eggs or just egg yolks in it.

I am having a potluck at my house tomorrow--a few of the 'gals' are coming over. Four of us are eating healthy (read dieting) and I would like to make something healthier for lunch. Any ideas? Someone is already bringing a veggie tray.

I have been a slave to sugar all of my life. I don't just have a sugar tooth, my whole body craves it. This burden was placed on me as a child when anything from Mt. Dew to southern sweet tea was placed in my cup. Not to mention cavities before I even lost any of my baby teeth. I am addicted and I am ready to let it go. The problem is that I don't know how. Many of you may laugh at this, but my daily attitude is controlled by sugar or lack thereof. I have been fortunate that my metabolism has passed much of it through without any weight gain. Now, as I get older, it's starting to effect me. I am also looking into pescetarianism (vegetarian who eats fish) because meat is starting to become a problem as well. Both sugar and meat are beating me down by the end of the day. Does anyone out there have any tips for cutting sugar out of my life and/or becoming a pescetarian?

Hey,

Im gonna steam a lobster or 2 up! Well i have a question: Which one is better: boiled or steamed lobster... because to the best of my knowledge with steaming, the lobster wont touch the boiling water but the evaporating water will cook it rite?

And: Euthanizing the lobsters and 'keeping the tail strait with a wooden skewer" will all that make the lobster lose its juice during cooking?

Thanks

My question arises from going to a flea market where one vendor sells double yolked eggs every week. How is this possible? Is it something that is being induced through hormonal supplements?

I am making a recipe called Brasola al Barolo and it calls for red wine. I have a few bottles of opened wine which are probably a week past the drinking stage ( a bit stale). Can I still cook with them? How much will it impact the taste?

Thanks!

I guess I'm hoping that someone who works for or knows someone who works for Jet's Pizza will see this. I love the BBQ Chicken Pizza and want to know what kind of BBQ sauce is used. And how do that make that crust so crunchy and good? I would like to be able to make it at home sometimes but the BBQ sauce has to be just right. Thanks!

The question arises out of the salmonella outbreak from peanut butter. I say a peanut butter factory makes peanut butter all day every day. My co-worker says they make peanut butter today and something else (perhaps like mayonaise) tomorrow.
Settle the bet, who's correct?

Does anyone have a simple recipe for a restruant style parmesan spinach? I like it with the chopped onions...also is it okay to use frozen spinache instead of fresh? The fresh was just too mushy when I made it.
