Do you have a price range? Likes or Dislikes? Favourite Varietals?

I'll give a super broad answer - hope it helps. : )

Wines I've been liking lately for daily drinking:

Cycles Gladiator Syrah (under $10)
Archery Summit Premier Cuvee Pinot Noir (under $40)
Mirabelle Sparkling Wine Rose' and traditional (under $20)
Concha Y Toro Castellero del Diablo Cabernet (under $10)
Maryhill Viognier (under $15)
Noval Porto 1999 (under $25)
Kim Crawford 2006 Marlborough Sauv Blanc (under $15)
Yangarra Cadenzia ($25)

Wines I can't wait to get into. I have them cellared, but am waiting on them for the right time/place/or age

Archery Summit Arcus Estate Pinot Noir 2003 ($75+)
E Guigal Chateauneuf du Pape 2001 ($40)
Baroli Borolo 1998 & 2000 ($45+)
Domaine Drouhin Willamette Valley & Laurene ($40-$65)
Don Melchor Cabernet 02&03 ($50+)

Many others, but these are what comes to mind immediately.

I love wine. If you are trying to step out of the blush wine routine. start with more approachable wine first white or red

white wines:
st supery virtu
louis jadot macon village
cline viognier
pindar winter white
st clair savi blanc
murphy goode chardonnay

red wines
louis jadot beaujalais
mirassou pinot noir
erath pinot noir
parker staion pinot noir
cloud 9 sietty zinfandel (not a blush)
and progress on to a world of wine from there
ofcourse this is a very short list I could go on forever
hope this helps

Get creative and try some of the foreign wines imported to the US. Lately, I've seen: Romanian, Bulgarian, Georgian (Republic of...not the US state), Argentinian, Spanish. These are generally what are called "food" wines...wines that compliment food. Get some friends together for tasting food and wine from different countries.

From Spain, white, Torres Viña Esmeralda. From Mexico, red, Petite Shira Cetto. From California, red, Pinot Noire Los Carneros from Robledo Winery....

Yes,try a Chateau Mouton Cadet Rothschild. The 1961 is exceptional but is a bit young for me. Another delightfull wine is any from the Eagle Vale vinyard range. This Vinyard is in Margaret River, Western Australia and produces absolutely astonishing wines.Last year voted Australia's top winery.

Have you tried the Robert Mondavi Fume Blanc? It's reasonably priced and you can recognize it by it being in a frosted bottle.

Or I'm a big fan of Markham whites. They've gone up a bit in price from 10 years ago, but still excellent. (I drank Markham before it really took off and it was still an unknown wine.)

If you like something on the sweeter side, try Chateau St Michelle Riesling (it's so yummy and I don't even like white wine).
I also like Castle Rock Pinot Noir (it's light). If you like something fuller, go for cabernets: J. Lohr and Merryvale are some good ones.

I prefer South African Wine to any other, Chenin Blanc. Depends whether you mean good wine £15 per bottle or good wine £5 per bottle. My choice is the latter!!!

well, since you're not specific about what grape you like, it's really not easy to answer your ??? it's not as easy as just saying red & white ... there are too many different grapes & blends to choose from! do you like softer wines vs bolder wines? do you like wines from a certain region of the world? i hate to say it, but you need to be a LITTLE more specific. for wine lovers & connoisseurs it really is more complicated than "red or white."
