OK - I am bracing for the 4-6 people who give every question a thumbs down and tell me what a jerk I am.
A few questions ago, someone used this article as evidence of vegetarians being more intelligent than non-vegetarians.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/health/6180753.stm
Now, my question pertains to the following portion of the article:

"366 of the participants said they were vegetarian - although more than 100 reported eating either fish or chicken"

100 out of 336 is 30%. 30% of people who call themselves vegetarians eat chicken or fish.

I know there are many different "levels" of vegetarians, but isn't it simply inaccurate to use the word vegetarian when you eat any kind of meat, whether it be beef, chicken, seafood, ants, whatever?

I have no problem with those who choose to be vegetarian. I just find it silly when I see an alleged "vegetarian" chomping on shrimp or a drumstick. I even saw my "vegetarian" mother in law eating fries with beef gravy! Explain?????

I live in Australia. I once had a friend who used to eat it raw in sandwiches. Is this safe? Can you undercook bacon? Is it treated the same way as ham (which you can eat straight away) or not? I was just interested

I know the yolk is fattening, but how much damage can it do? I only eat hard boiled eggs once in a while. I sit all day at work but when I get home, I hit the treadmill and crunch time tapes. Am I good?

I'm cooking a turkey today for my son's birthday, and I don't have a meat thermometer. How can I tell if it's done? I'm so afraid I'll underdo it or cook it dry. The turkey is really small, about 5 pounds or 2.5 kilos, and I'm roasting it in the oven stuffed only with two small onions.

For camping trip. I will be cooking the 40 sausages first. After that, I will reuse the boiling water to cook 20 eggs. Need to know how many minutes would I need to ensure that they are hardboiled, they don't have to be pretty though. Aiya, you might as well tell me how many minutes I'll need to boil the hotdogs too =D

There used to be, or is still, but it is outrageously expensive and the options are not flexible. These go over very well in the US, Europe, etc. This is a great way to sample national, and international beers, and give great exposure to many beer companies. Why not one in Canada - we are a country of beer drinkers, aren't we?

I cooked a Quorn stir fry last night and made too much. Can I eat it cold today - I put it in the fridge on a container over night?

Also if you cook with quorn from frozen to make a mea (say lasagne) can you then freeze that meal even tho the quorn was frozen before you cooked it?

Thanks.

I was wondering if you could be vegan and still use things such as leather? I do not eat animal products and avoid useing/wearing them. But being an equestrian I have to use it for saddles and bridles ect.

So to be a vegan do you just not have to eat any animal product or do you also not have to use them?
