A good thick sliced bread. I also like to buy a unsliced loaf, and slice it a little bit more thicker than bought thick bread. It is really delicious. Try toasting Rye bread too, wow- that's something!

I use white bread but wheat and Hawaiian sounds like it might be good toasted.

Any sliced that will fit in your toaster.Are you can slice your own and use your broiler to just toast the top of the bread.Any flavor (kind) tastes good toasted......
