I would like to expand my crock-pot recipe book. I honestly can only make pot roast, which amazing considering I cant cook. I would like recipes that are simple and delicious. Dessert recipes would also be nice, no cobblers. Thanx for any and all of the ideas.

There was a bar in Beloit, Wisconsin called The City Limits that used to serve a drink called "Swampwater", does anyone know the recipe?

I love to preserve pickles, fruits, etc.
I'm also a supporter of recycling.
Obviously the jars to be used for preservation must be 100% sterile.
Is it enough to put used jars in the microwave oven with a few centimeters of water in them and let it boil for several minutes?
Will they be sterile enough?

If you were just to soak the steak in the brandy the night before would it taste good if you then just grilled it the next day.

I bought a really big can of refried beans and won't be able to use it all at once. Is it possible to freeze the leftovers and not have them turn all nasty after they have been thawed out?

I saw a documentary at Discovery that two guys, the Mith Busters put a slice of meat in a glass filed with Coca Cola(coke). After two days they went to check what happened and the meat was gone.I tried that experiment myself and it is true.I even put a slice of meat that had bone on it.The bone was still there but it was starting to brake in little parts. What is in coke that makes it erode meat?Is it organic or chimical?

I'm going nuts, so someone tell me what this is.

A couple of years ago I bought something similar to rice as a bit of a change. It was a grain that you boiled and used just as you would use rice (as a base for chili etc). It was really nice, and I think my colleague at work would enjoy it as she's vegetarian and always looking for different foods.

It's not Quinoa (pronounced keen-wah), at least I don't think it is. I think it's just boiled wheat, but I'm after a brand name.

I'm British, and I shop at Asda, yet I've checked and they don't stock it anymore. It came in a yellow box, and was really versatile.

Anyone got any ideas?
