My husband's cooking. He makes killer chili (better than mine even!), Swedish meatballs, and he can totally replicate a sausage and egg McMuffin from McDonald's and they're bigger and so much better! I crave those things!

We make a 7 layer salad that is to die for. I'm not a big salad fan, but I make a meal out of this, in fact several because we never make just a little bit and we share. There are a few secrets to making our 'famous' 7 layer salad, but I'll share them with you as long as you promise to not tell anyone. Crisply fry 2 lbs of bacon instead of 1, double the cheese any receipe calls for and do not cook the peas. Just run hot water over the frozen peas for about 1 minute. They will pop in your mouth instead of being mushy when you bite down. Oh yes another thing, is when you break up the cauliflower, be sure to do it into penny size pieces. It really does make a difference. Smother and seal the prepared bowl with mayo. cover it and let it sit overnight, if you can wait that long. Mix the mayonnaise into all the other ingredients just before serving.

Plum Dumplings
This is a Hungarian delight and sooooo good.

I am a chef and it was my own mothers fantastic cooking that inspired me to cook myself, so I would have to say just about everything she ever made was the best thing I ever ate.

Aside from my mothers cooking, there is one restaurant, a Japanese Steakhouse that makes the greatest Kobe Fillet Mignon I have ever ate. The steak is so tender, it just about melts in your mouth
