You know what I mean. At a restaurant or when you buy ice it is very clear and has no taste and I just like it better (especially in a nice mixed drink), but the refrigerator freezer always makes that white, cloudy ice and its just not as satisfying. Is this a water quality issue, or could a home icemaker make this ice?

Today at lunch I ordered a Blue Moon beer on draught. When the server brought it to my table, I noticed an orange wedge on the rim of the glass. I thought it was odd (I know wheat beers are often served with lemon wedges). Even though it added a pleasant taste... I wonder what's the purpose of adding citrus to a wheat beer and why did Blue Moon come with an orange instead of a lemon? thanks :)

I have been searching for this cookie recipe for a long time. This cookie is in every Italian bakery. It is made either like a round cookie with a cherry put on the top in the center or sometimes made like a flat log that one side is dipped in chocolate. They also use the long cookie and put two together with a jelly between them and then dip one end in chocolate. I hope I am explaining this well enough that you will understand. I know the recipe is just a basic cookie recipe but I have had no luck. Someone had told me to buy a cookie cookbook that a woman that had owned an Italian bakery had written and that it was in it. It was not the right recipe which I found out after I purchased the book. I would so much appreciate anyone that has this recipe and is willing to pass it on. Thanks so much

I posted a calorie warning on mince pies earlier and the answers revealed that unless familiar with UK, people don't know about mince pies: small shortcrust pastries with sweet filling made of mostly fruits& raisins; delicious and soooooooooooo addictive! I never knew them before coming to Britain, but I honestly thought it was a shared tradition between UK and US...
I bet Tony's sent a box to George!

I can't find my old Betty Crocker Cooky Book. It had a recipe called Cooky-Candies I believe. It was a small, hand formed shortbread type recipe that you baked, cooled, dipped in melted choclate and rolled in sprinkles, nuts, coconut, etc. Would love to make these for the neighbors children for Christmas.
Thanks!!

My relatives are coming over for a Christmas Eve party, and we always have holiday things to eat and drink after we come home from the Christmas Eve service at church. Can you share any Christmas drink recipes? What are your experiences with the recipe?

Merry Christmas!

I am making a Peanut Butter Pie for a dinner on Sat and I need to find a good chocolate drizzle recipe to go on top of it. I am not sure about Baker's chocolate squares. I have never used them. I have read that they're bitter. If you have a good recipe for it, let me know. Which is better, chips or squares? Anyone have any ideas? Thanks for the info!
