If beer has been shipped cold then it must remain refridgerated.
If the beer has not been previously refridgerated the you do not need to store it in a cold place.
Coors beer is always shipped cold. The other domestics are not.
Never buy Coors if it is not cold.
Can't tell you about the imports. Sorry

Beer generally doesn't age well. Unless the alcohol percent is above 9%. If you need to store beer, pick a cool dark place. Also, warm temps and light are not good for beer.

You can keep beer that has not already been refridgerated on the shelf in a cool dry place for storage up to several months. If you purchase it cold out of a cooler, than no. You would then need to keep it refridgerated. It should last a few weeks up to a month or so without going bad on you.

I'm going to go out on a limb on this one and say that beer will keep nicely if unrefrigerated. It is stored in warehouses for montth on end unrefrigerated. In the UK it is consumed at room temperature, rarely is it drank ice cold.

Until the 1800's people in the states drank beer at room temperature then in the wild west a bartender thought he could sell more to thirsty workers if he served it cold.
He was right.
You can drink beer at room temperature but it tastes much better cold.

No, in Europe , they almost never refridgerate their alcohol and they don't seem to mind.
Just make sure you buy it warm from the start. If you buy it cold and do not refridgerate it, it will taste spoiled.
