I wouldn't chance it. Bacteria can grow very rapidly. I think two hours is the max for meats to be left out. Maybe even shorted with the mayo.

No- as per HACCP criteria-a system of checks and balances used in the food industry - the salad should be held anywhere between 1 and 4 degrees, at room temperature the rate and level of bacterial growth is significant- huge in fact, to make matters worse mayonnaise is an egg based product and so extremely risky- salmonella is the thing to watch out for- in short toss the salad

That depends on where you live. I live in Queensland in Australia and it's the middle of summer, so there's no way I'd eat anything that long out of the fridge, but if you live in the northern hemisphere then maybe. Better to be safe though, and not.

Anything that's supposed to be hot or cold that's been left out for more than two hours isn't safe to eat. Five hours..... definitely not!

on the fringe of caution. - i'm answering no longer as a 10 time cookbook author in this issue yet as a u . s . Coast safeguard Aux AUXCHEF, and USCG AUXCHEF coach. more beneficial than in all likelihood the refrigerator did not come to room temp if it develop into closed the entire time. yet room temp isn't the precedence. the danger zone is 40 ranges to one hundred and forty ranges. you does no longer believe what can commence turning out to be in raw meals at an unsafe temp for a protracted era of time. i'd evaluate this chicken to be contaminated. I revealed a large website below as we as mine. - desire this helps - Kent

I wouldn't risk it. Mayonnaise can go bad fast if it's not refrigerated, so unless you want food poisoning I would toss it.
