Okay... so I am trying to decide on my wedding date. I have finally decided that it will be in June...but I don't know if it should be 6/6/09... or 6/5/10... The reason I'm thinking in 2010 is because I am in my junior year of my b.s. degree and will graduate april 2009, so I don't know if I will have time to plan it. But I'm in school right now, and I've been doing some extensive planning and research. I already have my guest list pretty much made, I have found some locations that I need to visit, I have a budget planned out, I have found invitations I like, and flowers and favors picked out... I also have a menu picked out... Do you think going to school full-time and trying to plan a wedding (while working 20ish hours a week) will work? Otherwise, if it was in 2010, I would have that full year of planning. Other things to consider is that I will be moving to Chicago from Michigan after I graduate...so I can either plan a MI wedding from MI or from Chicago... ask for more info

Anyone know of any good sites? I've googled it myself but they all seem like total crap. Anyone have any experience (i.e. success) with a site? Thanks!

My fiance and I are paying for everything and hence we are on a strict budget. If we give a final head count and more people actually show up than expected, we will be charged by the end of the night by the country club. I'm concerned because there are old college friends of my fiance who show up to events uninvited because they consider it an occasion of "free food and booze" and get trashed. He has already talked to some of his friends about how we don't want to get screwed over with extra costs, but I have a feeling that many people will still try. Any suggestions or tips?

In what order is everyone suppose to go. Is it first the bridesmaids or the flower girl, or the ring bearer. I know who goes last(the bride) but who goes beforehand and in what order?

We are planning on ordering thank you (TY) cards with an imprinted quote, but will be handwriting our TYs specific 2 the gift/guest. However, we had a cultural wedding reception with specific events that took place during the reception. My parents told me earlier that my husband & I would not have our own speech as the two dads would have a toast & then we would be going table to table toasting to all the guests & thanking them. During the dinner, my dad told me in five minutes, I should get up & make a speech. I'm pretty sentimental & like taking time to really craft what I want to say 2 be meaningful. I spent the next five minutes wracking my brain & my husband's brain. We thanked everyone for coming & that they were all here because they've shared special moments with us. My family really came together 2 make everything happen & I regret not specifically thanking them then as I really wanted everyone at the reception 2 know. Is it tacky to have a special insert in with the TY cards?

It was a mutual breakup, due to unresolvable differences, and now she refuses to give him the ring back. bear in mind this ring was a gift to her on the proviso that she marry him, now she is not, surely he is entitled to retreive the ring? Please i need real life experience to answer this, no opinions please, or if u happen to be a lawyer who knows about matrimonial law then thats just what i need. please help asap. Okay, so there's a whole long drawn-out story that I won't give you...The end result is that my daughter's fiance has a best man, 3 "groomsmen" and 1 "usher". We're expecting between 180 & 220 people at the wedding. I'm a little concerned that one usher won't be enough. Do you think we need to "recruit" the other groomsmen to work as ushers?

I just attended my own bridal shower this past weekend, which my mother, future MIL and bridal attendants threw for me. The shower was gorgeous and they all obviously worked very hard on everything. The thing is, part of what they did at the shower was hand out envelopes and had everyone write down their own addresses to make sending thank you notes easier for me. Although I appreciate the thought, I fear that this idea may have been seen as tacky by some. So should I go ahead and ignore the self-addressed envelopes (which, btw, where written in pencil b/c that's what the guests were given), or go ahead and just do my own thank you's. I don't want to offend my gracious hosts by not using them; nor do I want anyone to think "why did they have us write these things out if she didn't even use them?," but I also don't want to come across as tacky. What should I do?

did you think though at some little point,
did you have any shadow of doubt in your head,
that what you are doing might well be wrong?

After a 12 hour day shooting pictures I'm more tired than a 12 hour day in a factory. How can that be? My camera is only a few pounds and my two white lighting lights are five pounds each. (I only lift them to put them on a stand) Maybe I'm just too old.

My fiance have started our wedding registry, but we can't decide on bedding. Mostly, because we have no idea what the difference between the different types of bed covers are. Coverlet, duvet, comforter, sham. This is a language I don't yet speak. What's the difference? Ok, well, I know the shams go on the pilllows, but other than that, I'm not sure what the best choice for us would be. Any help would be appreciated. By the way, this may be a stupid question, but please try not to be mean. I just want to pick out some nice bedding!
