A bridal shower is for all the people that realize a wedding is a beautiful, sacred event and are there to celebrate with the bride.
A bachelorette party is supposed to be for the younger women to go out and celebrate the same thing, unfortunately it has gotten twisted over the years and some women think it is an excuse for all the women involved (some married and engaged themselves) to act like tramps and say "it's a bachelorette party so it doesn't count as cheating" Strippers have NO place at a bachelorette party. Wish more women would go back to the day when it was a night out with your closest friends to celebrate the upcoming wedding.

There is a difference. A wedding shower is a bridal shower where only females are invited (some people do all females invited to the wedding, some do only who the bride chooses) where the guests shower the bride with gifts, eat and celebrate her upcoming wedding. Usually bridal games are played as well.
The bachelorette party is with just the bride's female friends (some people do just the bridal party, some do the bridal party and other close friends). It's supposed to be the bride's "last night out" and usually consists of drinking, dancing, sometimes a stripper, but it's a fun night out with the girls. Typically the mom, grandma and other older female family members are not invited.
Hope that helped!

The wedding shower is totally different as this is the occasion for the family and friends of the bride to celebrate with gifts and games, etc. A bachelorette party if she chooses to have one is a party thrown by her girlfriends and can include female family members usually all around her age that is a bit more risque and sometimes involves male strippers. You wouldn't do that at a shower.

A wedding shower is a chance to give the bride/groom present. It's known as a bridal shower if only women are attending. A bachelorette party is a final shindig out on the town, the female version of a bachelor party.

Generally speaking a wedding shower is more tasteful, gifts are given, general marriage advice, and some harmless games are played. Think baby shower but for a bride (and possibly groom). Good invitees are going to be mother of the bride, mother of the groom, aunts, cousins, friends, neighbors, and people from the book club/church group, etc.
A bachelorette party is usually more on the wild side as far as entertainment. Kind of a "last fling before getting married and stuck with one man forever." This is usually narrowed down to just friends and/or family of relatively the same age. These can be anything from hanging out with friends and just remembering old times to wild nights on the town and strippers, depending on the personality of the bride (and the party-giver).
There are some fun websites with games ideas for your bridal shower. Just type "bridal shower games" or similar into a search engine and tons of free sites will pop up. Good luck.

The shower is rated "G" - and is for the girls and ladies of the families, from about eight and up to great-grandmas. So things are good clean fun. Usually it's held in someone's home, there are games, a nice lunch, and the bride opens the gifts. Just a good time for lots of laughter and chitchat.
The bachelorette party, not everyone has one by the way, is for friends of the bride and attendants to get together to do something. Sometimes it's a big boozy blow-out, sometimes it's bowling, sometimes it's dinner and a movie.

A bachelorette party is a night where she usually is taken out to celebrate with the girls (bridal party and close friends). The bridal shower is more for family and friends typically a brunch and where the bride would have a registry and the guests would buy her things for the home. Two very different events.

A wedding shower is pretty much a party that focuses on the bride. You provide food and fun games relating to weddings and brides. This is the party where everyone brings a gift for the bride that she needs for her home or whatever. You can have a theme wedding shower, such as a kitchen theme or bedroom theme or lingerie theme. It's up to you what you want to do. No strippers for wedding showers. That is usually reserved for bachelorette parties.

Uh, yeah they are different.
A wedding shower is where you shower gifts upon the bride and groom.
A bachelorette party is a party for the bride, whether it be at a strip club or just a nice dinner at a restaurant or a slumber party for girls.

Yes a BIG difference. The shower is for all the older people in your life like your mom, grandmother, aunts and cousins to sit down and have a quite but fun party. The bachelorette party is for you and your friends to go out and have a party or dance the night away. Trust me have both you will enjoy yourself
