In what order is everyone suppose to go. Is it first the bridesmaids or the flower girl, or the ring bearer. I know who goes last(the bride) but who goes beforehand and in what order?

1. Officiant stands at the altar
2. Groom and best man enter from a side door and stand at the altar
3. Bridesmaids and ushers walk in pairs (if there are uneven numbers, the odd person can walk alone, or two maids or groomsmen can walk together).
4. The maid or matron of honor walks alone
5. The ring bearer walks alone, followed by the flower girl, or the children can walk together.
6. The bride and her father proceed, with the bride on her father's right arm

You can honestly do it however you wish. You can have the flower girl go seperately from the ring bearer if you want, or at the same time. Everyone's family is a bit different- ours , we have a step-mom to include as well. I've seen it also to where all mom's come out and light candles, then seat themselves at the same time. But everyone above me forgot the groom-don't forget to add him in there too! hehe

At my friend's wedding, here's the order- son sat the groom's Mom, son sat the bride's mom, (the son's came back to the groomsmen line because they were in the party). Bridemaids in reverse order with groomsmen in reverse order... (then she didn't have a ring bearer or flower girl), then groom came out a side door up front, then Bride and Dad came out.

We are going to have our flower girl and ring bearer (our son) who will both be 3- 3 1/2 yrs old at the same time come out just before I come out with my Dad at our wedding. And as I said- we have a step-mom too, so I was thinking of having all 3 go light candles at the same time, and then sit down. But again, remember it's your wedding, so you can do your own little order of what you and your fiance want :)

Hi and congratulations!

If you want to really get technical....the grandparents get seated first (groom's first, then brides); then the mother of the groom; then the mother of the bride is seated last.

The wedding party:

bridesmaid & groomsman
bridesmaid & groomsman
continue with all bridesmaids & groomsmen
Maid of Honor/Best Man
Flower Girl & Ring Bearer - or just flower girl if no ring bearer
Bride & Dad

If you are having a junior bridesmaid, she can go first OR before the maid of honor. Good luck!

If the groomsmen are up front waiting with the groom, then the bridesmaids walk up in reverse order. Just before you is the flower girl, sometimes the flower girl and ringbearer walk up together - if they are separate, then the ring bearer goes before the flower girl. Then before the ring bearer is the MOH.

Proud to be 51 has it exactly right. In particular the flower girl sprinkles the flowers for the bride's entrance not the bridesmaids as suggested by the first answer.

Usually its the grandparents of the bride, then the groom's grandparents, then the parents of the bride, and then the parents of the groom...then the ring boy and the flower girl together, then the bridal party followed by the maid of honor and the best man and finally the newlyweds.
