We are getting married in December and I am trying to come up with songs that everyone will enjoy. I want some that have to do with love and some that are just party songs. Suggestions?

I am currenlty living at home with my parents in Illinois, and he is up in Michigan finishing school. He got into some trouble awhile back (which was not that big) and his probabation lady today told him that he could not leave the state of michigan at all for the next two years...not even for our wedding which has been planned for April of 2008. My family thinkes he's a nice guy just may not be marriage material due to his past...if I tell thim this..it will only make it worse...what do i do!!

When my girlfriend and i were walking the streets downtown and we happen to hear this song she looked at me with her big puppy dog glazy/watery eyes and said to me : "This...this is our wedding song..." and had the warmest, relaxed look on her face after saying it....is she serious????....what will her parents think when she is being walked down the wedding isle with her conservative father at her side and this song blaring over the PA system:

Me and my partner will be getting married Nov. 1, 2007 for the moment we live together. I have held off telling my 9 yr old son. However my 15 year old is very much aware of my relationship and our intentions. We ALL have concerns regarding my youngest understandings of the relationship. Since he so sensative and sometimes can be quite feminne we are worried that we may present him with confusing thoughts that he still is not ready for. We assume he sees our relationship as a friendship. when asked how he feels about mom living with a women instead of a man he replys " It doenst matter to me". He loves my fiance very much as she loves him as well.

i'm making a slideshow for my grandpas wedding next weekend and it has pictures of him growing up, my mom n aunt growing up, the grandkids, then his fiance growing up, her kids and grandkids, then pics of both families together. I need songs for all of these sections, but mostly the family part of my mom and us grandkids. any ideas?

Do you think it's best to wait until a weekend to ask the engagement question? I thought it'd be better since you'd have all weekend to relax and be together, but I think tonight might be a good opportunity. My girlfriend and I work/are in grad school, but we decided to take a little break from it all and have a date night.

Our friend is pretty clueless, to the point that he may have simply forgotten to give us a gift or card entirely, or perhaps thought that being there (he's from out of town) to congratulate us in person was enough. It wouldn't be a question of finances for him.

It's caused a bit of a quandry, though, since we're worried he gave a gift/card that got lost the day of the wedding. We don't want to embarass him, or seem greedy, but if he gave us a gift that was lost/stolen, we'd like to find out, and also thank him properly, rather than just saying 'thanks for coming' in our thank you note.

'Just ask him' is the tack we'll need to take (subtleties don't work with him), but the question is, how? It's a touchy subject, because it's very possible he's just forgotten, and also because it inherently implies that a gift was expected.

My fiance and I were going over our wedding plans. We had both aggreed on 40 people max. I already scaled back my list, but now we are coming up with his list and it will put us over. When I mentioned this to him, he mentioned just getting married at the courthouse and having a recption later. I really don't want to go that route. I have considered scaling back my list more as I have some aunts, uncles, and cousins on it. My total guest count not including myself, him or the three kids is 18. He doesn't have any aunts, uncles, or cousins on his list, so according to Emily Post I shouldn't either, but that means I would only have my Matron of Honor her husband and 5 kids as I have no siblings; my grandparents are dead and my mom is not invited. Should I offer to cut my list to accomidate his even if it means having no family there except the one I am marrying into? He has not asked me to but we need to cut the guest list and they are so far away that they probally won't come..

I heard this on a jewelry store radio ad for, you guessed it...The Ring. The store sold a wide array of designs so you could allegedly find a "unique" (i,e., less likely to be duplicated by anyone you'll meet) piece.

When Miss 'Zilla's haughty tones issued the "I don't want what everyone else is wearing" statement, I immediately started hoping the groom would pull a male version of the Runaway Bride. This poor sap is going to go in debt up to his eyeballs for her One Of A Kind (not) sparkler. Oy vey. Run, groom, run.

Is this the prevailing attitude today? I Want What I Want Because I'm Worth It?

My finance's parents are divoced and his Dad is a lot closer to him then his step-dad. We're having a party for close family and the wedding party just to celebrate the engadgement. The problem is my fiance wants to just invite his Dad and Mom, they are civil to eacch other expecially since the Dad never wanted a divorce and the Mom agreed they could be friends, but if we invite his step-dad we know he'll ruin the party. How can we put on the invatation just my fiance's mother is invited?

My fiance and I have been invited to my fiance's co-worker's wedding in October. It will be very small, but the ceremony is going to be at a time that my fiance and I can not go to because that morning is my fiance's 4 year old's dance recitial, however we can make the reception. Is it rude just to come to the reception?

I am getting married in June 2008. My fiance has five kids (4,6,9,11) and I have two (2 months and 20 months) and I have a 13 (almost 14) year old niece living with me and am fighting for custody of my 3 year old niece. and when we get married my 2 month old will 11 months and my fiance said he wants to atleast have one child with me. I think it's a great idea because we both have great jobs and my job is a job at home so I won't have to worry about matiernaty leave, BUT my soon-to-be-mother-in-law is being a real big pain saying "Oh so you want to live in a house with 9 kids and still expect to live a normal life?" I'm 28 my fiance is 29 1/2, how do we get her to shut up about nagging us about wanting another kid. We are very wealthy and we don't need her smart comments.

So the place we have will provide centerpieces, I still want to name the tables different places we have been and put pictures there of us at that place like Maine. Should I laminate and just set them on the table, like a postcard, should I frame them. or just display them somehow?
