Do you think it's best to wait until a weekend to ask the engagement question? I thought it'd be better since you'd have all weekend to relax and be together, but I think tonight might be a good opportunity. My girlfriend and I work/are in grad school, but we decided to take a little break from it all and have a date night.

Do it whenever you feel is right! Don't pass up the perfect moment because it's not on the weekend...besides, you are only one day away from the weekend anyway!

Congrats!

If you feel like tonight is right - then DO IT!!!! yay for you! Girls love to spread the news, so you two can enjoy tonight and each other, then tomorrow she can gab to everyone about how wonerful it was and how wonderful you are, then since it's a Friday and she will get all of that out of the way during the day, you will still have the whole weekend to enjoy each other!

congrats on you decision, best of luck!

Any time is the right time! She'll be thrilled. Congratulations! :)

Personally I vote for a weekend (if you can stand to wait!) because you can have some down time together and just let the newness of being engaged sink in. My fiance proposed while we were on vacation so we called it our "engagement honeymoon" (hehe) we didn't announce anything until we returned home. It was fun to have such a huge "secret" to ourselves for a couple of days! And it was nice to settle into our new status just the two of us.

Good Plan ! then you both have the opportunity to share the news over the weekend with family and friends which can be very hectic, So have a brunch on Sunday for the family, and tell everyone, then! call friends on three way and text the ones you missed on the first announcement.

I think you should do it tonight........she will be suprised and it will be exciting. Have a very romantic date night and I wish you luck and she will be very happy...you sound like a great guy that thinks things through!!!

One tip.......my one friend came up with a great idea of the proposal. He bought a dozen roses and he put them all over the house and he had a clue on each one on how to find the other rose. On the last rose was the ring.....I thought that was really sweet!!!

If you feel it's the perfect moment, go for it! I tend to agree that if you're planning something, Saturday night is best just because you've had all day to relax and then you'll have the whole next day to spend together. But, if you feel tonight is the right time, go for it!

It certainly would be more surprising to propose on a weeknight. Most gals get proposed to on the weekend. Why not spring it on her tonight?

Plus, your new fiancee can go to work/classes glowing tomorrow because you proposed tonight. It will definitely be a good time, when you think of it that way. Her friends and coworkers can share in her initial excitement. Go for it!!!!

Sounds like a great oppurtunity to me!! And then she doesnt have to wait for the weekend to finish to show her workmates/college friends. Date night would be fine and very romantic. Go for it. If the right moment comes up. Good luck

whenever it feels right.. My hsuband actually wanted to pop the question at a nice, romantic German Christmas market after he bought the ring; He did ask me on a Friday evening when we just got ready to go to the store to buy some bathroom tissue and still waited for his friend to come over for dinner.. I was just putting my shoes on when he went on his knees. For most people that doesn't seem romantic, but he just felt like this was HE moment, and it was perfect for us..
