It depends on what you are expecting from your honeymoon. If it's quiet "together" time you want, go somewhere traditionally romantic. If you're looking for adventure, camping, rafting, skydiving, etc might be your thing. Cruises can be nice, because a lot of things are included. The expensive part is generally the alcohol and any side excursions you take during the stops. For less expensive options, check out country bed and breakfasts, places where festivals are taking place, etc. State parks are nice for scenery, and local restaurants can be more memorable than fine dining. Whatever you do, enjoy your time together and take LOTS of pictures (make sure you have people take your picture together!).

How far are you willing to travel? Chattanooga, TN has some great attractions. The aquarium, Rock City, Ruby Falls. Gatlinburg also. Memphis, Nashville although Nashville would be a bit more expensive.
