I want surprise my groom with his own groom cake. I'm not sure what I want to go with. He's a police officer, he loves motorcycles, fishing, and music. I want the cake to be primarily all chocolate... He likes chocolate... I don't want anything fancy with fruit (as is tradition with groom cakes, I know the background). He's also big into family, and yes I know this is obvious but he's pretty fond of me. He's very romantic so I want this to be something he won't forget. Any ideas? I already have a few other surprises for him. For instance I found a garter with tiny handcuffs on it and a few other small surprises to incorporate into the day to make it special for him also, but I want the cake to really be great. So, I'm ready for ideas! OH I can't spend a fortune, we've agreed to spend as little as possible in order to go on a awesome honeymoon so under $50 for a topper would be great.

I have a two and a half year old girl being a flowergirl in my wedding and I was wondering if it would be better for someone to hold her or put her in a stroller during the ceremony. I am afraid she will not sit still if she is sitting on someone's lap and they will miss the ceremony.

Do you think it is too revealing for a wedding gown?
I know the waist is a little sheer but I have been looking for dresses for a long time I wanted something different and when I tried this on I fell in love with it. I went to show a picture of it to a friend and they said it was to revealing because it's sheer. I am a 34b so a corset is not to bad and also a size 4. My waist is the smallest part of my body and want to accent that. What do you guys think?

I am planning my wedding for this year and I am trying to find a nice and simple place to be married at. We have tried both of the vineyards, and Morrow Mountain but none of them will work for us. We are looking for something simple but nice with a reasonable price to go with it. I live in Albemarle, North Carolina so I am looking for something in or very close to Stanly County.

I recently attended a friend's wedding, and I brought a friend along as my "date." I was the one who received the invitation and the girl I brought barely knew the groom (my friend).

I'm preparing to send the married couple their wedding gift.

My question is this: Who should the wedding gift be from? Is it ok if it's just from me? Or should it be from both myself and the girl I took with me?

This is the first of my friends who's gotten married and therefore the first wedding I've been invited to. I'm just not sure about the customary thing to do with gifts.

My fiance and I are having a Halloween-themed non-traditional wedding reception on October 27th. (We're getting married in a tiny destination wedding 2 weeks prior, and this is the reception we're having upon our return.)

There will be about 130 guests, and we plan to serve crackers, deli tray, veggies, etc. as well as some home made rigatoni, sandwiches and other such picnic type foods. There will also be an open bar.

I am not sure what to tell everyone in the invitation, because most people expect a sit down dinner or buffet. The reception starts at 7PM, so most people should have eaten dinner already.

(Remember, this is not after a wedding. Everyone will be doing their own thing until 7PM.)

How should I phrase this in my invitation?

I was going to get married 4 years ago and it didn't work out so my dress has been sitting in a zip up garment bag in the back of the closet since. I took it out to sell it and noticed that the dress is fine but many of the clear sequins are turning yellow especially in the shoulders. Is this something that can be fixed by dry cleaning or will all of the yellow sequins need to be removed? Please help!!!

My parents are divorced but I was in my 20's then and they both raised me. They are on good terms with each other. My dad is walking me down the aisle. Between ages of 22 -28 I was critically ill and not expected to live. My mom took such excellent care of me, moved to another city to be near a special hospital and started her life over there. What can I do at my wedding to give her extra special recognition?

I was thinking of this last night while I was chattin to my uncle. I get along better with my uncle than I do with my dad. My thing is when I get married (when my boyfriend preposes) is it okay to ask my uncle to walk me down the isle or will that just be a real blow to my dad. The thing is that I aint wanna be mean or anything but would like my uncle to walk me down the isle.

He already knows that when I get married that he (my uncle) will be giving the speech or been the MC at the reception.

Will it be wrong for him to walk me down the isle when I get married???

I have one maid of honor, one matron of honor, and two bridesmaids. I want to ask each of them to do something, without her feeling like a "maid." Do you have any suggestions? I know they want to help, but I don't know what goes into helping-it has been so long since I was a bridesmaid.

I have actually been married for 4 years but we never really had a wedding. I want to renew next year and I want it to be special and intimate for our families but we are trying to save money for a house. Any suggestions? He also does not want to do it just yet because he just got a new job and does not want to spend anything! How do I talk to him and tell him my ideas without him just shutting me down before I even open my mouth (which has already happened)? Thanks for the help.

im due to get married in october abroad, and im having second thoughts, the little things that wouldnt really bother you seem a big issue, because you know you have to put up with them for the rest of your life. he keeps being mardy and saying its not working and saying hes going to move out, he already did this a few months ago but came back when he realised he did want to marry me. is this just wedding jitters. i just keep thinking about my family, il be letting everyone down. what if we cancel and them wish we hadn't?

How do I drop hints about the type of engagement ring I want. My boyfriend and I have been dating for 3 years and are planning on getting married. However, we haven't really set a specfic date. I would like to slowly drop a hint or two about what I would like, when the time comes. But, I don't want him to think I'm pressuring him for an engagement within the next few months.

My boyfriends is pretty old fashioned, so my engagement will be a totally surprise. He also believes in getting me jewerly I love or admire. If I say I like something I see someone wearing I often get something similar for a present. Money isn't really and issue for him, he has a good salary.

So, anyway to be very sutle w/o adding pressure.
