come up with a theme...i like to watch party planners on the cooking channel and i saw this episode where they did like fruity martinis and a fondue meal. they also had a spa section. so the theme was like girly. i thought it was really cute and it seemed like the party was a success. let me know how it goes cbglaser@yahoo.com
good luck and congrats

You can hire a bartender to come to your house and mix specialty drinks. They can give you a list of all the ingredants you need ahead of time.

Make sur eyou have enough tables and chairs (the worst is when you have 20 people and some sitting on the floor)

Serve light appetizers that are kind of sheik (tuna tar tar on potato crisp, chicken satys with penut dipping sauce, bruchettas, shrimp)

Games i have played (not really a fan of the games my self though) toilet paper bridal gown: teams of 2-3 make a dress out of a roll of toilet paper, bride judges. Bridal bingo: bingo sheet has blank spot, you fill in with what you think the bride will get as gifts who ever reaches "bingo" first gets a prize

My advice is forget the games.

On the pin-up theme, I just googled pin up posters and clicked on images. A ton of stuff popped up. Then just get a few red light bulbs and candles and you're good to go. What I do NOT like about this is BYOB and also just providing light snacks. The people being invited to the shower are already being asked to bring a gift. It's wrong for them to supply their drinks and then barely get any food. It's also not smart to have an evening event where there's drinking and no substantial food. Even Sunday brunches provide a light meal. If you can't do this right (meaning you can't afford the event she wants) then I think you should tell the bride you're having a Sunday lingerie shower. She's got high expectations here, but that doesn't mean you have to live up to them.

serve only deserts for food along with the cocktails...no cake. drinks wise...do drinks that are easy to make...maybe some of the bride's favorite drinks...or make drinks that are the colors of the wedding. champagne is always good to serve.
