You're so right, In love, but thing is.. I just saw this episode of 'strong medicine' where a doctor's boyfriend did the sweetest thing!
He had the newspaper write a headline for her telling her he's not leaving and then asked her about her answer. She didnt know of what, he pointed to her finger and there it was!
He put the ring in her finger when she was asleep ^___^
It may not sound as sweet as it seemed, but it sent shivers up my spine!
Think about it, tell me the most creative proposal you've ever witnessed or seen on tv!! *_*

My husband of almost 7 years proposed in the cutest way. We had been together for 4 years by then and our two children were already added into our little equation. He took one of our daughter's shirts and handwrote on it "Marry Daddy" and had my 3 year old son follow behind her with the ring.

I always imagined my proposal to be traditional, the man down on one knee, ring held up...but this was so untraditional that I wouldn't want it any other way.

Top 5 (besides my own):
1) The diamond commercial with the proposal in the plaza and family around.

2) Jesse's proposal to Belle in "Taxi".

3) "My Best Friend's Wedding" when Michael explained his proposal to Kimmy.

4) The proposal in the "The Stepmother".

5) One of my co-workers would receive flowers every Friday from her boyfriend. One Friday, he delivered 160 roses himself (one for every day that they had been together). Tied in the middle of the HUGE bouquet was an engagement ring. It was very beautiful and we all cried.

At the age of 21 years old, I had a motorcycle accident and broke the lower part of my back and the doctors said that I might not walk again, if I did walk it would be because my brain had used different nerves to achieve the walking signals and that this was an extremely long shot. The nurse that looked after me said that if I could learn to walk again and managed to walk down the aisle she would marry me. She use to take me to my daily physio. She would come in on her days off to help me do more physio and exercises. It took me about 18 months in all to be able to walk without help or sticks. I told this beautiful nurse that I could not hold her to a promise like the one she made but she said that she was 100% holding me to it. So we married in April 1978 - we have been married ever since and now have two sons 21 and 18 and we are still doing weekly walks together. Hope this answers your question.

Mine was definitely awesome.
My fiance Josh works at a downtown radio station that has a digital scrolling marquee wrapped around the building that runs news headlines.
One day after lunch, we were walking back on the other side of the street and he says, "That's funny, the sign went blank." I look up, and sure enough, the sign is blank. Then a few seconds later a new message scrolls by reading, "I love you, Shauna. Will you marry me?"
I look over at Josh, and he's down on one knee with the ring box opened and awaiting my answer. I said yes, cars all over downtown starting honking and people on the street were clapping. It was somewhat embarrassing, but it was also wonderful!

Wow, I'd have to think about this one. I love it when the ring is in the bottom of a Champagne glass or something. Or my uncle actually had a skydiver attach a banner to himself that said, "Kathy will you marry me?" It was the greatest thing I have ever witnessed....so very sweet.....But I don't think there's anything better than when a man gets down on one knee and asks the girl to marry him while holding the ring.....My uncle did that after she saw the banner.....gives me chills.....I believe every girl deserves to be proposed to that way.

My favourite movie proposal is from "While You were Sleeping". She is a worker at a toll booth for the tube in Chicago, and she had laid all her cards bare to a family she's been lying to a couple days before. The oldest son comes up while she's working on Christmas. She's accepting tokens, not looking at anyone, when a ring drops through the slot. She looks up, and the whole family is there smiling. He asks to come through. "No... not without a token." So he pays, goes in, kneels down, and asks.

I love it.

What's funny, is I had all these ideas, and the moment I went to answer this question-I forgot every proposal in a film I've ever seen! lol. Though I liked the one diamond commercial where they went to a foreign country for a trip, and he proposes in the middle of the square, and all of a sudden the crowd around lowers their newspapers, etc. and it's all her relatives. I think that one's awesome.
The proposal in "Mickey Blue Eyes" is hilarious, as is "Meet the Parents." Oh. I remembered one: the Princess Diaries II. That was a great one. Very fluffy/disney, but for that film, it works. lol. "Walk the Line" was good too.
I just want mine to be personal. I want it to have to do with a part of mine and his past...to let me know he's paid attention to little memories, you know? I'm definitely not the "Name-across-the-jumbotron" kind of woman. lol.

Yeah, San! Tell us your story!!

Two good ones!

My brother woke up on New Year's Day (January 1st) said good morning to his girlfriend, made sure she was awake, rolled out of bed onto one knee and said, "I might as well start this year out in the best possible way. Will you marry me?" and had the ring and everything. She told that story forever (sadly they are divorced now but the proposal was cute!)

Second, my friends Jason and Paige were walking around the farm one day and Jason dropped to his knee and grabbed Paige's hand and put a Ring Pop on it and said "Will you marry me?" and she laughed and said, "yeah sure!" and he turned the Ring Pop around and the diamond ring was up - he had put them both on her finger at once, with the diamond facing down so she wouldn't see it! And Jason said, "I'm serious." And Paige of course was serious too!

SO CUTE!!!

Awww...very romantic question and very romantic answers. I heard of a story about a proposal on the metro train.

The guy paid to have 3 train carriages painted. The girs picture painted on carriages 1 and on the middle carriage, the words " I love you so much, will you marry me?" lastly, the guys picture, kneeling down with a bouquet of flowers.

Ahhh love...i hope i can share my story, yet to happen.

I just love proposals on tv r movies that come from the heart. What I would like is for us to be where we first met.....or a place by the river I used to love........but the ultimate proposal, that I once dreamed of happening, and in the dream felt so real.....he took me up in a hot air balloon and we were having a champagne breakfast and he proposed at sunrise......sigh.
