Back when my boyfriend and I were "just friends" he showed me his grandmother's wedding ring, which he plans to use when he proposes. At the time, we chatted about how he could have the stone re-set. None of his ideas fit with my style, but since we were just friends at the time it didn't really matter.

Well, now he's been sending out test balloons that indicate he might be getting ready to think about popping the question. How can I let him know what kinds of rings I'd like? My style is kind of unusual and I don't wear a lot of jewelry so he might not know what kinds I like....I love him and I want to marry him, but I also don't want him to have his grandmother's diamond reset in a ring I won't really want to wear for the rest of my life...

My sister is getting married in June. Recently my mom threw a bridal shower for her where I got her a gift. Now am I required to bring a gift to the actually wedding. I know people bring gifts to the wedding. The last wedding I went to there was no shower and before that I was a kid. What is the rule here? Do I bring a gift to the wedding or not?

Our wedding date is set for July 7th. All of our invitations are sent out, my dress is here, the flowers and the cake have been ordered, the church and reception hall reserved. Everything is ready. We got in a fight the other night, a BIG one.. He now wants to break it off. He has a temper as it is, and I had learned to deal with it and kind of brush it off, but I don't know what to do! I love him more than anything in the world, and I always will. But what do I do to get him to think about this before he goes and does something we will both regret????

The gown I ended up falling in love with has kind of a long train. It wouldn't matter so much, however the ceremony will be taking place outdoors on a greenbelt.

Is it in poor taste to have the train down during the ceremony (I don't mind of it gets a little dirty) or should I keep it bustled up the whole time? Please keep in mind that the ceremony will only be 15 minutes, followed by pictures. The reception will be indoors.

My husband and I are going to a friend's wedding in summer Italy - means weather's going to be pretty hot! A friend said it will be a daytime formal wedding.
I will be wearing a green a-shaped ankle length dress.
What should my husband wear?
I would like him to wear something that would match the colour of my dress, but I read that if he wears a light-grey siut, he should wear a WHITE button-down shirt. Can he wear a greenish shirt with a grey suit or would it look weird? Or if he wears a white shirt, can he wear a greenish tie?

I live in Florida, the wedding is in New Jersey. I have helped her every step of the way in planning her big day. She mentioned to me last night her shower is Sunday. I was surprised to hear about it and she evidently heard my disappointment in my voice. She made the excuse only people from New Jersey were invited. I am truly hurt....am I wrong?
