It may sound like bragging but my own wedding was THE BEST one I have ever attended.
My husband's mother and I made the wedding dress I designed;
My husband's father married us;
A friend of mine video taped the wedding for us as a gift
The assistant pastor's wife decorated the whole chapel for us as a beautiful surprise.
My sister in law played the flute and sang for us
We got our cake from a small town bakery - I opted for a small 3 layer cake for the pics and then a sheet cake to serve -the no extra cost surprise we got was that the baker had put a gorgeous icing red rose on every slice of the sheet cake so that every guest got a rose!
My wedding was fantastic!

Of course I'm going to say my own wedding was the best. Not just because it was the start of my marriage, but the wedding itself was great! My parents went all out and gave me the wedding of my dreams, so in my mind, there's nothing to compare it to.

I went to a Christmas wedding that was great. It was Dec. 23 and everything was all Christmasy and cute. The bridesmaids wore red and the Jr Bridesmaids wore green. There was fake snow on the ground. the bouquets were amaryllis and they had christmas themed ice sculptures.

At least you sound happy about it. My parents always told me that if I was smart I would never get married lol. Here I am 35 still not married. So guess I have not been to a best wedding either.

In my opinion it's the ones with (1) open bar (whatever you can afford, beer/wine is fine), (2) really good band, (3) decent, filling food and enough of it. This makes an outstanding party, and that's what people like about the reception.

My sisters, in a castle in Scotland it snowed and the castle was 17th century and amazing. We had four poster beds, we had Scottish dancers and was so picturesque.
It was booked last minute cos my dad was ill which was the down side but will never forget her wedding.

The best wedding I went to was one that my sister was in. It was formal and it was like cinderella. We ate and drank all night and we dance the night away I had so much fun. I even met a guy.

the best one was my aunt and uncles a whle back. it was an outdoor wedding with big classy white tents and sercers that wore top hats and really cool vests, we were served unlimited strawberry lemonades (with real strawberries) fresh fruit and whip cream was available for each person...roses, music, dancing, live band, perfect weather, and 100% pure elegance and class. it was a dream.

Yes, all of us married people will say OURS - but, really, it was! It was a traditional Ukrainian wedding, lots of our culture and heritage highlighted, very meaningful and beautiful ceremony, and the reception was a blast!
