I have no idea exactly what gift to get for my fiance for a wedding gift after we are married. What kind of gifts do wives usually give their husbands after the wedding ceremony? Any body got any good suggestions?? Thank you so much in advance!

A nice watch with perhaps an inscription and your wedding date on the back.

Gifts aren't necessary but if you want to give a small token as a remembrance then anything that would make a good keepsake is nice. A watch, money clip or anything that can be engraved makes a good keepsake. A special book with an inscription - just consider your groom's personality, hobbies, styles and tastes. There is a beautifully diamond anniversary watch that I think also comes in a diamond engagement and an wedding watch. Very expensive but wonderful. You can have a photo laser engraved on it and some Little saying and date.

Honestly, my husband and I didn't get each other anything. Of course, we got married in January, a few weeks after Christmas, so that might be why. Plus, we had just bought a house. But I honestly didn't need anything other than him standing at the end of that aisle to tell me he loved me then, and I don't need any thing other than him coming home at night to tell me he loves me now.

Seriously, talk with him about it. He may be going through the same thing, and wondering what on earth to get you. Maybe you guys could together pick something out for your home, and get it for your wedding present to each other.

Congratulations and good luck!

My husband and I did not exchange wedding gifts. In reality, the wedding and our union was the gift itself. Nothing else could ever come close to that.

I think maybe you should talk to him about if he wants to do that or not. It is not a mandatory thing to do for weddings. If you guys do decide you want to, then decide on what TYPE of gift you guys are exchanging. Like, is it to be romantic? funny? serious? Neccessities? That would help cut down the options for you both.

I bought my huband a new wardrobe for the honeymoon. Everything that he would need for the honeymoon was new. I bought myself new stuff too, then I closed out my checking account and we joined accounts.

No gifts were necessary. I just bought him that b/c he was straight out of college and needed "adult" clothes:):)

I was unaware that any store purchased / material gifts were given .
But if you want to give something material ,
Maybe some family heirloom that fits in with his interests ?
A piece of art or music that you have created ?

I got a tie clip engraved for him with our combined monogram. He's always talking about how he wants one. My friend got her fiance cuff links, engraved with their monogram. If you're going to get something then it's always nice to do something he can wear that day.

I wouldn't give gifts. Marriage is gift enough.
