but we didn't invite any of the family since we figured that the church wedding was the most important part. Now his mom and his sister are upset cause they weren't there. How do you please everyone? Now that we're starting the arrangements for the church wedding, it seems like my family doesn't even want to be there.., First of all I wanted a barbecue and a small ceremony. What am I suppose to do? I feel overwhelmed now. Especially since everyone doesn't seem happy for us.

It is preferred if it doesn't provide mandatory catering service. My rental budget is below $2000 for half day. I need a beautiful and quiet wedding place that is within 3 hours drive from the bay area.

I have a very tight budget for my wedding but the photography is very important to me. I love the candid shots. Anyone know of a very affordable photographer?

I need a professional party planner is because the party is gonna be held in Malaysia=Muslim country. It's impossible to find striptese myself, there's no such place/club/joint over there. That's why I need an experience professional who know his way around the country to organise a Hollywood style Bachelor Party. Cheers people.

I told my fiance not to spend more then $200 on my engagement ring and he didn't. Now I'm wanting to get something that I REALLY like. I love this ring, but it's yellow gold and I'm not a yellow gold person. He tried to find a white gold one at the time, but couldn't. He told me that I could get a new one(and I agreed to pay for it), but I feel guilty. I always said I didn't understand why girls did that and that I never would do it. Should I just keep this one and get a wedding band that I really like or should I go get a new engagement ring?

We are planning a private ceremony in a couple of months and need a non-Christian officiator who works for cheap. Does anyone know of one? Or how do I find one? I have searched the internet, but get very few results.

Or should I save myself now? My boyfriend and I have been together for 3 years...(4 years this October)..we have a daughter together who is now 14 months old. We want the best for her. Much of our relationship has been a lot of on and off. I've done really crappy stuff and he's done really crappy stuff. We've also been through a lot of things that constantly bring us closer and closer. Just recently, we have finally gotten ourselves on track (I've been there but now he is too...for the most part). I have taken care of my daughter more than he up until recently and he is a good father...seeing as he didn't really have one around. Marraige has been mentioned in the past but now he wants to start actually saving for it....and be married in approximately 5 years or so. We are only 20 and 21 but we do love each other and we are the only people that know how to put up with each other. I don't want to be in a on-off relationship the rest of my life but I want a family for my daughter!

Most of the time I see the boutonnieres are roses. My wedding flowers are going to be mini orange calla lilies. Would this be okay to do a single calla for the men, or is it not a strong enough flower? I don't want it to wilt halfway into the ceremony. Would an orange rose be better?

Im getting married in the Caribbean this October 3rd. It will be a nontraditional wedding and we are only inviting 4 guests which will be our parents. This is what I originally wanted to wear http://www.dessy.com/index.cfm?go=bridal&style=1002
He will be wearing loose cotton like the guy in this picture
http://www.pjmaxltd.com/
but since the wedding is nontraditional I wanted a nontraditional dress…something short, sassy and fun. Does anyone have any ideas or a website(s)?

I was just ordained by the Universal Life Church so that I may officiate a friend's wedding. Do I also need to become a notary to notorize the certificate? Or does someone else notorize it?

I have my wedding date planned for New Year's of this year (yay!). BUT...I just found out that my fiance's friend has "stolen" our wedding date and is also planning his wedding for the same day (He knew but claims he didn't) !!! And to make matters worse, I just found out my cousin is also getting married (in another city) on the same day as well!!

I am not trying to be stubborn, but I feel like my fiance's friend has "stolen my thunder". I should not be expected to change my date when I picked it first!. Also, their wedding sounds like it will be horrible, and I want to be the one to do it "right". I have always been set on this date. I don't want to be "second" in line.

My cousin's wedding is a valid issue....but I am not that close with that side of the family (or any of my family for that matter), so I am not sure how I feel if they don't come. I can always have a social later.

Should I change the date (NY's 2008?), or should I go ahead with my original plans?

Help!!!

We are divorced and I have 3 kids, him, 2. His kids dont live with him, one is at college, one lives with his Mom but does come to visit regularly. My 2 youngest sons still live with me, 18 and 15(19 yr old) moved out already.
Brandon says after our kids are out of school (his youngest is 15 also) he would want to have a home together. We live in different states, Ohio, Indiana, so our kids go to different schools.
Thats 3 years !
We are together all the time for the most part. We have a good relationship but I feel like if you want to have a future with someone, you shouldnt put stipulations on the future, like, wait til the kids are out !!I dont like the idea of "waiting" for my kids to be gone. Sometimes I want them to be ! But not really ! You know, like when they are being difficult and a pain in the butt! Im 40 now and I know I would like to be married and share a home with someone.
what would you say if someone said... , I want to marry you, AFTER our kids are moved out !

My fiance and I are planning an evening wedding with a coffee and desserts reception to follow. We are having a cheesecake wedding cake and a chocolate fountain. We want to have a self-serve coffee bar area where people can choose between international coffees and teas.

Any ideas or suggestions to contribute? Ideas for fun desserts to go along with our theme? Ideas for themed favours or decorations? I am curious to know if anyone else has done this before? And if so, how did it turn out?
