South Africa is so far! You might want to reconsider a long trip right after the wedding. If he really wants to go to Florida, promise to go there for an anniversary or your next vacation.
Hawaii is a nice place for a honeymoon, but why not look into an island in the Carribbean?

I would go to either Dubai or South Africa. Dubai is very expensive and over the top, but if you can afford then go for it! South Africa seems exotic and beautiful. I have a friend who honeymooned in South Africa and they went on a 10 day safari. Everyday was adventurous and outdoorsy but the evenings were spent in luxury hotels and filled with romance. They went to Victoria Falls – Ilala Lodge, Chobe National Park – Chobe Chilwero, Cape Town – Mount Nelson. HAVE FUN!!

If you mean Dubai, it's nice there, but it's insanely expensive. Plus, can you deal with the heat? Florida isn't all that exciting, I don't think, having lived there for some time. I would stick with Hawaii. It's romantic, you can sit on the beach and drink during the day and go out at night, the scenery is beautiful, and you'll never forget it. Forget South Africa. You want somewhere romantic, don't you?

Florida, Dubai, South Africa, or Hawaii? Well, If I were you, I would strongly cross out South Africa as it has a VERY high violent crime rate and is about as far away as you can get. Dubai? why? it's very expensive and not exactly a honeymooning mecca (no pun intended)
Florida *yawn* and Hawaii...cliche.
Go to Greece and spend a week on the islands.

i work in the travel industry and would not recommend dubai at all, it is a building site and has 16% of all the cranes in the world there at the moment or something.
I have been to south africa and it is beautiful, but why dont you do a two centre trip and do his idea of florida for a week then fly onto Hawaii for a week relaxing.
my fav place is the Maldives which is great for honeymoons.
congratulations by the way.

I am getting married in two months and we are going to Orlando for 1 week and then travelling down to miami or a bit further depending on what we think, perhaps you can put this idea to him and see what he thinks. I'm going to see tigger, that is one reason we chose florida for disney land and the roller coasters and suff. I have been to dubai twice, the men over there are very strict and don't like it when women are not covered up, I wore a strappy top and i got stinking looks from the men

replace your honeymoon plans and do something low priced. consequently i think of all of us getting married could pay for their very own wedding ceremony and not remember on others to achieve this. We ended up spending in basic terms a pair of days far off from residing house in a lodge approximately 50 miles away after our wedding ceremony and function been "honeymooning" at residing house over the final 11 months. we've planned a extra problematic, longer holiday it is already paid in complete to have fun our first anniversary in 4 weeks.

South Africa is cold during our summer because is the souther hemisphere.
If you are going to get married during the winter and would like a warm weather, south africa is a good option, as well as hawaii.
Good luck
