On that pg, I personally like the "embroidered canvas totes" but the "personalized bridesmaid totes" are great too.

If your bridesmaids are more on the girlie girl side look at these

As far as what to put in them--I got my bridesmaids funky colored clear waterbottles (whichever color suited them the best--they each had a different color) from Walmart for about a dollar each. Something to snack on--like crackers or sunflower seeds. Softlips lip balm is my favorite lipbalm. Also at Walmart. You could go with maybe some sunscreen and perhaps a giftcard to Sunglass Hut. Perhaps some candy--not chocolate in case it melted but a small bag of Jelly Beans in cute colors (I love Margarita Jelly Bellys). Small personal touchs. It's not that expensive.

Just get it monogrammed with their initials or the first letter of their name, not their actual name. In today's world you can never be too careful. You hear about personalized licenses plates and crooks calling out the girls name and she stops thinking she knows the guy.

I had a bridesmaid do the tote idea for me one time and we all loved it. She gave us several lil things she loved with a ballcap. Not monogrammed Bridesmaid (thank God), just a plain one. The tote was around $20 and the stuff in it was probably around $10 total. So it wasn't even that expensive. I don't know how expensive the jewelry you bought for the wedding is but if you give a tote with $20 worth of stuff thats a perfectly wonderful gift. Anywhere $75-100 total on bridesmaids is probably normal. People on theknot say they spend closer to 200-250 on each bridesmaid and I think they are full of it. Just small things like that are far more appreciated than a bigger gift.

My groom gave his groomsmen can cozies. They had some really funny ones at a store and he picked up different ones for each of them. with a cold drink in it.

We had cozies for the bride and groom that said something like "I don't know I'm just the groom" and "BRIDE It will all be ok for I am in charge"

And we got the groomsmen monogrammed tie tacks from www.thingsremembered.com.

A lot of brides and grooms are going with the giftcard to a place you know they love--groomsmen Best Buy, bridesmaids Target. But I like totes much better. It's a wonderful idea and so useful!

Good luck on your wedding planning and congratulations!
=)

I got my bridesmaids presents at Things Remembered(I know expensive) but my gifts actually weren't. I got them on sale. I got a boxed jewelry set (earrings, necklace) for 19 dollars and the engraving was only 6 dollars (I just did monograms) so all together I just paid 25 dollars for each. They are pretty and they will never know how much I actually paid for them. They also have some jewelry boxes that are engravable too. go to thingsremembered.com and click on the clearance items, they have many beautiful things that are less expensive. They have 20 pages of things on sale. Also, I got some things for me at this other website called exclusively weddings and I believe they have things like personalized totes.

What you have so far is a great idea. It's mostly going to depend on how much you want to spend on them... but here's a couple of ideas based on what I bought for my bridesmaids, and ideas I considered for them:
something to wear on their feet at the reception like fuzzy slippers or cute flip-flops
a mirror compact
lip gloss or lip balm (I got some that were made locally)
travel jewelry case
jeweled hair pins
cellphone strap jewelry (check out strapya.com, WAY fun)
framed photo of you and each girl, or all together
iTunes gift card
a wrap to wear with the dresses would be great if the day will be cold.
gift certificate for a manicure

Oh, and just for fun, I added a ring-pop sucker to each bag. They look like giant diamond rings and everyone loved them!

It's a good idea to try and vary their gifts a little based on their taste. I'm sure they probably all don't like the same exact things. :o) good luck and congratulations!

Okay, I have another suggestion. Instead of giving them something that they may pretend to like and never use again, why don't you use that money to go get your nails and toes done, or make a spa day with the girls and you pick up the tab. You can probably call a spa or nail salon and maybe get a good price on the services since you will have a few girls. This is will be a little bit more special, and since you already have the jewerly, you have something to give them at the rehearsal dinner anyways, so go do something fun and make it something the will remember. Good luck and congratulations!

I am givin mine the jewelry for the day, a cute tote type thing, and a monogrammed beach towel, its useful stuff the will use again and it didn't cost a fortune, plus I think its pretty original! I got mine on Ebay from punkydoodle monogram shop (ebay store) and was more than pleased if it helps, they also had lots of cool stuff like spa robes and purses and totes that I considered....hope it helps!

I too wanted to get my girls something different, that they could actually use. I got some great nick and nora cosmetic case sets, like 3 different bags. (from sleepyheads.com) I filled them with nice girly stuff, like bath and body works. Turns out those were a lot more useful than the usual boring engraved jewelry boxes, and those types of things.

here's a very inexpensive yet personal idea. I did this with my bridesmaids when I got married. Go through photos and make them a small collage framewith pictures of you and them. Plus, I got them little jewerly boxes and wrote a personal note to them and put it in there telling them how much their friendship means to me, yadda, yadda, yadda. It was very personal and had a nice touch.

We brought all our groomsmen and bridesmaids to a swing dancing class as their gift (our wedding had a 40's theme), and they all loved it.
