1) An hour before the ceremony the priest refused to marry us because he did not receive our baptimal records. (Long story on how we got them and rushed them to the church, but it was a horrible, frantic way to start the day!)
2) The limo died on the way the church.
3) We returned to my husband's house at the end of the night only to find the hose to the washing machine had broke during a cycle from the morning and had been flooding the bathroom floor for about 14 hours.

Anyone want to share their wedding horror stories? LOL.

Is it rude to ask the wedding party to buy their own dresses and tuxes? I am on a very tight budget--and my friends are as well. Since I know that they are also on a tight budget I am afraid to ask them to purchase their own clothing. I have not yet asked them to participate in the wedding because of this dilema. Also, I am asking my brother, his girlfriend and their two kids to be in the wedding so this is a great cost for them. Any suggestions?

and the fiancee of course! And how to we transport the parents (both sides grooms and bride's). Do we need two limos? Do the limos wait all day long before they wisk me an my beloved off to our honeymoon suite at the end of the reception?

By they way, most guests will be from out of town, except for my maid of honor.

I am clueless about this stuff. My parents are like "WE never had limos when we got married!!! Well, times have changed mom and dad! :)

Thanks for any advice in advance!

The bachelorette party is going to have 26 people. I am going to school, have a child to take care of, have some money to splurge, and the bridal shower, the bride and I are underage. While the rest, about 20 people, are of legal age to drink. I honestly think that 26 is a little much. I know it is her day but I don't know what to do after we have dinner to accomadate for everyone. She really doesn't want strippers, and I don't either. I don't know what to do to make sure everyone has fun. Can anyone help me?.

What did make for your wedding? Favors? Decorations? How much cheaper was it for you to do it versus buying the items?

We already have the actual wedding figured out, but the reception is a whole other expense, and we know there's going to be atleast 250 people, but we just cant afford to feed that many people 5- coarse meals, but we cant expect them to come to the wedding and then not invite them to the reception, but we really want it to be a nice enjoyable experience for everyone.

I've seen some internet services where you fill in a questionnaire and they mail the pre-nup to you. How does that compare to a sit-down with a lawyer?

We just got assigned to make up a "wedding" for my marriage and family class and we have to plan an actual wedding, including wedding party, attire, gifts, registry, engagement, basically anything and everything to do with a wedding...

If you have any suggestions as to what is esscential to planning a wedding, I would apreciate it greatly! Thanks

We are breaking up about 3 months after our engagement party. We did not receive expensive gifts but some people gave $50-$100 to congratulate us on our engagement. Obviously a large portion of the money we received went to pay for the party. How should I handle this?
