I just go engaged I live in michigan and was wanting to know if anyone could tell me where are good place is to pick out a wedding ring. We have a low bugeit I am also looking for a good place for a wedding gown.

Don't go to David's Bridal! They are terrible. I live in MI too and had an awful time. If you live near Grand Rapids or are willing to make the trip, I highly reccomend going to the big bridal dress sale they have downtown in January. Gorgeuas dresses that usually cost way too much are sold for like $50!
I also recommend shopping at www.customweddingsolutions.com. They are located in michigan too. In fact you can get more inf about the dress sale on their webpage.

CONGRATULATIONS!!! don't go to places in the mall because they can't really get you a good deal like the other stores can. Try the Shane Co...not sure if they have them in Michigan. Or if you are really on a low budget, try going to an impostures place where they have BEAUTIFUL rings where you can't tell the difference unless you are crazy and carry around one of those eye magnifying glasses!

Looks like you got some good advice for rings...I bought my dress at David's Bridal. If you can wait for the sales, you can sometimes get a dress that you like for $99. Prices go up from there. My sister-in-law bought a beautiful ivory prom dress for her wedding and no one was the wiser. Often, prices will be jacked up if 'wedding' is associated with it. Many times there are gorgeous dresses that can be wedding dresses if you're willing to be a little bit non-traditional.

Congratulations! I got my wedding ring from HSN.com (home shopping network). Or try ebay (not for a used ring, but they also sell brand new).
Try not to go to local jewelry stores, they are very expensive and you can't really "wheel and deal" with them.

well cheap wal-mart rings are cheap but wedding gown i dont know about good luck too you hope you have a great wedding

I have been told that Wal-Mart has a very good selection of diamonds. If you can afford it go to a good jeweler and pick out a diamond and have it mounted in a setting that you like.
