Wiener blut.. Strauss the younger Op .354. There is an introduction of more than 1/2 minutes that should be time for them to get up. Don't forget it is a Viennese waltz so he had better take some lessons!

Are you talking about the first dance? I'd go with the classics i.e. Nat King Cole, Billie Holliday, Dean Martin..... there are some really great old romantic songs that are not corny and will NEVER be considered tacky.
If you are referring to music played during the ceremony, stick with classical pieces, your organist or music director can recommend some appropriate pieces.
