Never force a man into marriage he has to want to do it. if he feels obligated to marry you.. then you both wont be happy in the long run. and you will be paying for a divorce sooner than later.

Because you want to get married and he isn't ready. It's that simple.
Just because it's your dream doesn't mean he has to marry you RIGHT NOW. If you're this in a rush to get married, I would rethink your priorities and relook at your relationship. Marriage is tough, and getting married just for the heck of it isn't going to make it any stronger.
Right now focus on making your relationship stronger. In a year, relook at the possiblities of a wedding .Also, TALK TO YOUR BOYFRIEND! Communication is key in a marriage or ANY relationship.

Well, how old are you and how long have you been together? My husband waited until we'd been together 7 years (!!) to propose. I was ready, but he wasn't. I knew in my gut we'd end up together so I just waited patiently for him to be ready. He had his reasons, and when they were all dealt with (job, mostly) then he proposed. Sometimes there is a reason you don't know about.
of course, sometimes they don't really want to get married (or don't want to get married to YOU) and then there's nothing you can do. you can't really "get" another person to do something that HUGE if they don't really want to do it. It might be time for a long talk....

The answer is in your own question: you should not have "to get" him to marry you. If you are both not in a place where this is going to be happening, move on. If you are ready and he is not, move on. If you want to wait, then wait, but don't get frustrated, upset or move in with him.

It means he is NOT the one for you!!!! The right guy will WANT to marry you. You don't want to have to live out the rest of your life with someone you convinced to marry you.

If you are sleeping with him, then that's why. He's not buying the cow cos he's getting the milk for free. Would you buy the cow?
If you're not sleeping with him and he doesn't want to get married, then he might be gay or interested in another woman.

theyare afraid they are gonna miss all the drinking and parties and golfing weekends. and if there friends arent married, they are afarid that their buddies will make fun of him. you know guys its all about their macho ego.
