The bachelorette party is going to have 26 people. I am going to school, have a child to take care of, have some money to splurge, and the bridal shower, the bride and I are underage. While the rest, about 20 people, are of legal age to drink. I honestly think that 26 is a little much. I know it is her day but I don't know what to do after we have dinner to accomadate for everyone. She really doesn't want strippers, and I don't either. I don't know what to do to make sure everyone has fun. Can anyone help me?.

If you have access to an ID that would help...
Typically bachelorette parties don't get carded. I would go to a restaurant for dinner and then either stay there and other's can drink or go to an 18 and up club.

I had my bachelorette party a few months ago, and there were about 15 people. It was just enough people to have fun, and not too many people to where it got out of control. Only invite people that are very important to the bride, you don't have to invite everyone!

Here are a few ideas: If you have an apartment or house, have everyone over for cocktails, and hors 'duerves (sushi is good, or chips and dip depending on the theme of the party). This way the food and alcohol are at a cheaper cost. Ask some of the bridal party or friends to bring a dish or something to drink. Play some fun games. There are so many bachelorette games that keep everyone laughing and having fun.

I am by no means plugging my company here, but I am bringing it up b/c it can help...

I sell Passion Parties and we do Bachelorette Parties all the time. First, the parties are free except the cost of refreshments and if you order anything. Second, consultants play some really fun games. Three The other people buy stuff for themselves and the bride to be gets gifts out of it b/c she gets a percentage of the sales to buy what she wants so you don't have to worry about buying her the fun gag gifts etc. Fourth, the only age limit is 18, and if you want to have alcohal or whatever one of the older girls can get it and bring it. Go out from there if you want or do a slumber party type thing making funky drinks and stay at the house.

I planned a few bachellorette parties last year... for one we went out for dinner together and then we had champagne and presents at my house after. I rented a van (it was only like $35) and asked one of my good male friends to be our driver. At the end of the night we all met up at a house party at a different location. Another one I helped involved a balloon and prize at each location we planned to stop at with a note attached giving a clue to our next stop (it took a little pre-planning)

We did go out to the bars, but maybe if the bride isnt of age you could ask some of the guests to use their homes and you could have mini-parties at each persons house, like a theme or game or even a present at each place, you could make signature cocktails, make sure you have a driver, and the last place could be the site of a main party including guys and girls. That way you wouldn't have to pay for the whole thing, or clean up the whole thing. If you do it on a weekend, you are bound to find someone that wants to have a house party, especially if there are going to be a lot of drunk women showing up :)

Good Luck

It is rude and inappropriate for the bride to be demanding that you throw a party that you cannot afford. She needs to get a hold of her expectations.

She needs to either trim the guest list big time so you can take people out bowling or something like that, or she will need to accept something much simpler like hot cocoa and cookies in someone's home.

You can still go out... and hit the bars... most of the time.. you can try to cordinate with the bars.. to let you and the bride in...for free... you guys willl be the Designated drivers.. (since you got 20 other ladies paying to get in)
yoou can do the same games.. that normal parites do... like the bingo and scavaneger hunt and stuff..like. that... just make sure you and the bride get in free.. if there is a cover charge for the bars.. you go to...

Maybe you should just have a Bridal Shower.
