Singles & Dating - 15 December 2007

My bff Sophie is friends with this boy that I kinda know, but not as well as she knows him. They have been friends since day-care, and we're now 13.

He always had a few social problems (he switched skools because ppl teased him so much), but she really seems to have hung onto his friendship. It is very important to her that this stays a friendship. He, on the other hand, has made it very clear that he likes her, and has told me on numerous ocasions to tell her, and I did, but she has always responded negatively and says she thinks of him as more of a brother. Not wanting to be the bearer of bad news, I told him that she was undecided.

It has been 4 months, and he is still asking about it, and I have tried to put him off, but he's getting impatient, and has been calling Sophie 24/7 to try and invite her places. She is always "not at home" when this happens.

I feel so awfull about this whole situation, and I dont know what to tell him. Plz help!

We broke up one week ago, her decision. She wants to be friends. says that we can be friends, start from the beginning, and take things slow. She doesn't want to see me right now bc she says i still have feelings and only when i can be her friend we can see each other..

We started out our relationship really fast from the get go, three weeks of knowing each other and have been dating. for 2 months, until last week.

It is so hard to see her as a friend than a gf.
She says she wants to be single, have fun with her friends..

what should i do?
is it the end?
this is really bothering me.

She has been hanging out with her guy friends and will take vacations with them this holiday. She wont even spend Christmas with me, instead it will be with someone else whom she calls a friend, an the unknown gender, due to information, when i spoke with her three days ago. In doing no contact and will try to heal my inner wounds.. hope i will be okay and over her soon. thx for reading.

It's a well known fact that alcohol will loosen inhibitions and even make a person more sociable to a point. But alcohol in men will diminish sexual performance past a point. How about these effects on women. Please give sex, age, weight and ethnicity as this is important to data of effects.

I am a man, 0, about 175 pounds and excellent health. Swiss ancestry. I could drink a good 12 oz of alcohol with almost no visable effect. But as I have no desire to get drunk or overwork my liver and kidneys, I don't drink nearly so much. One or 2 drinks might loosen me up socially and release inhibitions. With sex, 2 is my limit. I would definitely risk reduced performance past that point. I might get away with 3. But believe in safety margins. And in reality I consume about 30- 22oz bottles of home made IPA beer annually and not in conjunction with being with my girlfriend as she hates the smell of beer.

We broke up in mid October, and now I've found a new bf and have gone out since this Tuesday. I know my ex still has feelings for me because he's been acting more annoying to my bf, talking to him more, and when passes me in the halls, looked at me deeply and for a long time until we pass each other. Sometimes he'd say "Peace" to me, and he is also sitting in the same seat I was seating at for lunch last school year. When we broke up, I didn't want to get back together, but something keeps reminding me of "us", and now that I've found a new bf, I'm getting the same feelings about my ex. What do I truly want?? My bf is treating me just like the way I wanted, but for some reason I keep thinking of my ex. What should I do??

I was seeing this guy for about 3 months and all of a sudden he won't return my phone calls text or anything. I was thinking and this may sound dumb but u never know, that maybe since my b-day is coming up on the 21st and christmas on the 25th he was feeling a little cheap, but why not say u don't have it. I can't think of another reason. What do u think? Things were going great by the way.

He stares at me A LOT; we always make eye contact; he’d be with his friends and he’d stop talking to them and step away and stare at me and my friends, wondering what we’d be talking about; he’d face his torso at me actually; when I walk by him, I’d look at him and catch him already looking at me, then he’d look away; when I enter the room, he’d be with his friends and they’d all stare at me and talk between themselves; or they’d stop talking and all look at me; when he stares at me, he has this serious look on his face or he’d be smiling; I can sometimes predict from the way he stares at me that he likes me; when I come down the stairs, he’d keep his eyes on me, and vice versa; when I walk by him without even looking at him; from the corner of my eye he’d turn his whole body and watch me as I walked by. This guy always notices me, do you think he'd stare if he was interested?

There was this guy that I have been talking with and flirting with for weeks over email, and we see each other at work, but talked much more over e-mail- almost daily. He told me that he was physically attracted to me and had growing feelings for me. I responded telling him that I think about him too, have feelings of wanting him, too, and care about him. Why is it that when a woman has a hissy fit its our hormaons and when a man does, it did not happen... I someitmes think my husband is worse than I am. He actually rolls his eys and huffs like a 15 year old girl. But when I say something, HE DID NOT.. Whats up with that

Me and this guy met in summer school and we had a little summer romance. When school started everyone found out and I think (i think...) he was a little embaressed. Everyone keeps begging him to ask me out but I havnt talked about it personally to him. We still hug and he holds me when im cold, and whenever I come around he blushes, but he insistes that he doesnt like me to everyone else! Now hes moving and I am heartbroken! I'm a 24 year old man and I'v been single for over 4 years.
My sister and my mother say I should stop worrking out now because I'm getting too muscular and I'll never find a girlfriend. They say that most women hate big muscles, is this true?
I thaught the opposite was true since big guys like Vin Diesel and Daniel Craig get plenty of positive attention from the ladies.
My sister also says I have "self esteem issues" just because I like to workout, not really sure what she means by that?

Guys tell me that I'm very attractive. Actually, I get asked out on dates almost every day.

I will date a guy for a few months. But then he will say that he's not sure if he feels more like a friend towards me.

Every time, the guy says that he loves being with me, that I'm not doing anything wrong, that I am great to be around, that I'm gorgeous and a very nice girl...but they just don't feel that "spark" that they want to feel. In fact, many of these guys have given me great signals all along, e.g. calling me a lot, asking me out several times a week, etc.

I'm enjoy sex and am open minded, so that shouldn't be the problem. I wonder if the problem is that I don't play games, and I make myself very available to the guy. I'm clear about how I feel about them (i.e. that I like them).

I could play games but it just doesn't appeal to me. I want someone to like me for who being honest and kind, not for jerking them around and being unavailable. How can I change this dynamic?
