toned is good...bodybuilding men with no neck isnt! I like muscle just not over the top.

It's a little more complex than that. I think guys with really big muscles are a bit freaky lookin and yeah it creeps me out. Vin Diesel though is just about right, but not too much bigger than that.
I don't see how working out means you have self - esteem issues, but I wouldn't blame the lack of a girlfriend on appearance alone.

Being in shape is one thing like having muscles and being toned but not being huge is good - but when u cross that line into lookin like a body builder where u are taking protein everyday and have all these rules to what u can and cannot eat and u order muscle mag and envy the guys in it- thats too much.
I was with a guy like that and it was a pain, all he did was talk about his workouts and how hes' getting bigger and he's gonna go do a show next yr bla bla bla and was at the gym everyday for 3 or so hours. So annoying!
work out to work and out to look good and to be in shape, not turn into a body builder

I think it's fine, unless it's overdone!
John Cena, for me is a total turnoff!
Vin Diesel, Daniel Craig is a little over limit!
If you work out ONLY to find a girlfriend, than that is somewhat a "self-esteem issue".
If not, you're fine.
It's your body, but I think too much muscle is a turn off.

"self esteem issues" - she probably means you are worried about how people see you as a person so you bulk up to feel better.
Don't worry what she thinks - if it makes you feel happy then work out. As long as it's healthy and not overe doing it or taking drugs.
As for women - do all women like red cars? Different for each person. Just one thing, think about the type of women that are sometimes attracted to men with the body - is it your personality they love to - or will they be less pleased when you get older?

I dont think that the working out will be an issue, some girls like skinny guys some like muscular ones.
But if you do come accross as shy, or of low confidence then yes that will be a big hinderance,, self considence nearly always comes accross on the top 5 if not 3 traits in men that women are attracted to..
Keep Working out mate!!

They only like daniel craig and vin diesel because they have lots of money. If your sister and mother were telling you the truth they would know for a fact all girls are different and to some it doesnt matter if your fat, thin or muscular its the personality that counts.

Yes and no- I don't mind the Vin Diesel type, just a nice bit of muscle but if it is too much like body builders its a turn off.

I have found that I do like muscles on guys but there is a line. When it gets to looking like a body builder on steroids it is gross. Men with no muscles are unattractive also. So lets just say medium amount of muscles is best. Just enough to tell that you got something but not until they show through your clothes. Make sense?

I think there was some statistic that dudes who lift weights tend to have a better time finding women. Definitely started lifting weights after reading that one. :)
Muscles are good, I'm not sure girls like the guys that look roided out, unless they happen to be into that or something.
