Talk to your friend about it. If she would be ok with you two going out (not just trying to be nice) then go for it. A general rule though, never date anyone one who your friend has or is because it only causes problems in the long run. My guess is that she probably won't be ok with it especially if he broke up with her and if it was recent. Don't start anything without asking her first. I know how scary it is that she may say you can't date him and it will seem like she's being incredibly unfair to you, but she's your best friend you owe her your honesty.

Never date a best friends ex UNLESS you're ready for the friendship to be over with anyhow. Trust me on that one. Nothing good ever comes of it.

Some best friends may mind if their best friend go out with their ex boyfriend and some may not mind. So before you do anything I'd suggest that you ask your friend how she'll feel about it.

If you value your friendship with your best friend I wouldn't go anywhere near her ex-bf. You don't want to lose your best friend over a guy, best wait to meet someone that has no history with your friend.

Lol.....b/c he seems to be quite the flirt, he just wants to sleep with you so, if your friend says it's ok, give him some b/c that's what you want to do anyway.

I guess flirting doesn't hurt since they are no longer 2gether. But, if you wanted to take it further, ask yourself, if losing your best friend is worth trying to be with him.

it all depends on your best friend. if she still has feelings for him then LEAVE IT ALONE. if it's been a while since they ended their relationship, and she's over him then talk to her about how you feel. but remember your actions in this situation should depend on her feelings. no boy is worth risking a friendship. good luck!
