Marriage & Divorce - 21 April 2007

I will be starting a new job after 3 years of being a Stay at home Mom, before taxes I will earn $1,980. My husband earns $4,230 monthly. We don't need me to work, but I need to begin a career again for myself. We have approximately $2,076 in monthly bills not counting the $600 it will cost for childcare once I begin working. Currently everything is in his name except our car and car insurance, which he's been paying for soley for the past 3 years.
Our biggest bills are rent, cable/internet/phone package, and our cell phone family package. Now that I'll be working we will need 2 cars. He wants a new one, my car is 5 years old and it's definitely time for a change. I want to trade it badly. But with him going for a new car I may have to stick with my current car that he knows we been having too many problems with.

I decided to to start working again cause I want to go back to school and begin some sort of career again. What would be a fair share on my part? Do I get a 2nd job?

My ex broke a protective order I had on him and is now going to jail for 6 months..
I want to move out of state to be with my family and to start a better safer life with my children. How hard would it be to modify the divorce decree on the circumstances?

My ex does not pay support and hasn't paid me for several years, though our divorce does include an order for support. The kids are now teenagers and it does not appear that his finances will improve prior to the kids turning 18. My question is about the back support. Is that considered a debt that he owes to me? Let's say he owed me support from 2000 to 2011. If he suddenly came into money in say 2015, would I be entitled to the money he should've paid me for those 11 years even though by that time, my kids would be grown?

Hello All. I have and share custody of 1 four year old son with an ex wife. We were divorced several years ago. We have split custody of him and she has physical custody of the boy as he resides with her most days. I have him several days during the week and he sleeps over on every-other weekend. She has a second child from someone from a previous relationship and is also split form that father. My question is that every year she takes the child tax credit for our son. She ends up getting a huge tax return every year…even though I pay a large amount in child support every paycheck. I end up having to pay taxes every year and make less then she does for a job-income. I was told that this was not legal and I could get a tax decree from the State which would make us share the tax credit as she would get it one year then myself the next…. Does anyone know about this and what I can do??

my brother tried to take his own life yesterday...he is going thorugh a bitter, bitter divorce. so..he walked in front of a heavy goods lorry and was hit at full speed and his body is shattered...his injuries are so bad...and i just wondered if anybody out there can tell me how to cope with it...

i dont drink alcohol..but tonight i have had some wine and everyone has gone from the house and i dont know what to do..and i know that somewhere out there are people on yahoo that have gone through what i am going through...how do you cope...what do i do now...my brother is such a lovely man, but a broken man and he is on a ventilator now and my heart is broken...thank you so much for listening

Say for instance if a man is away from his family for months at a time, is it possible to manipulate them into sleeping with you...having a sexual affair with you....whatever it is you may want? Is it possible to make them actually question their happiness in life and/or marriage even if they have told you that they are happily married. This girl worked with him at his job everyday for 10 months? Just curious. How do these women break up marriages that seemed perfect beforehand? I know it takes two, and it is the married man that is cheating, but can they actually be manipulated into doing something?

i used to enjoy this with my bf...but we have been thru so much BS that my feelings have changed... since having my last child.. i am not interested in doing it at all...the thought is not at all apealling any more. i wonder if its my hormones .. or is it that i just lost all interest in my guy? i have no interest in sex at all. dont want it ..dont want to give it... HELP!! how do i get over these feelings...will i get over it.

please dont say to see a doctor because she says there isnt anything they can give me...it just takes time after having a kid..but its been over 7 months now.

also...boyfriend has cheated in the past ... i think that may be a part of it too.

a separation with me in the house 3 to 4 days a week she states she will miss her life ie non working does what she wants i am always there to pickup the pieces when falls apart i feel like i am in limbo should i just divorce and sell the house she was all set to sell the house and mediate a divorce now it all seems to be on the back burner. she pretends to be nice i dont trust the sitution we have done marriage counseling she still states she is unhappy but likes her safe life with me should i just dump this mess - 17 years together with an eight yearold

Okay my best friend ill call her kelly is dating my cousin for almost 3 yrs now and she desperatly in love with him she wants to marry him he wants to wait till the graduate college it been causing drama all year.It recently came to my attention from another friend of mine who is her roomate and a reliable source that kelly has stopped taking her birth control pills,using oil as a lub to try weaken condoms?, and has an ovulation test kit in hopes to get pregnant?

Only reason i have not said anything is because i think its a phase like the one she went through in highschool and i dont think using oil as a lube can really weaken a condom but i am concerned she might go to further lengths?
