Who celebrates a 1 1/2 year anniversary? I don't see why this is so urgent. I would forget too. In fact I wouldn't give it a second thought and told you the whole thing is silly. Sorry, just my opinion.

Do you mean he forgot your one year anniversary six months ago? And you have been stewing for six months? Or do you mean 18 months ago you started going together? At any rate, you might as well get used to that. Especially a boyfriend. Most husbands don't even remember anniversaries or birthdays unless they are reminded a week before and again 2 days before. That doesn't mean there isn't any love there ... it just means they are not sentimental like we women are. Pick your battles. This is minor!

Sometimes when your happy in a relationship you dont find it necessary to make a big deal out of trivial things to keep the relation ship fresh. Every day should be like an anniversary, things like birthdays and anniversaries and valentines are money making schemes.

Remind him, tell him you can make reservations if he prefers, and go out and have a great belated anniversary. If you love him and want to be with him, this is not a big deal. If you want someone to "gift" you at your demand, maybe he's not the guy. If he will acknowledge and celebrate, be happy about that. Put it on his calendar next year.

Look, I wouldn't worry about that so much. Men are different than us women in that sense. They don't mean any harm. Does he treat you well? Is he sensitive to your needs and wants? It is the everyday stuff that matters and that can be the best gift ever. I know that you would want him to remember, but maybe you can help him out by putting in on his calendar or giving him little hints and I am sure that he will get the point.

Oh, I'd be pissed, thats for sure. BUT, 1.5 years is not much in the grand scheme of things, and forgive him, for he is male & often forgets such important dates. (Besides, 1 and a HALF years isn't really all that important! Did he remember ONE year? ) hell, my beau can never remember ANYONE's B-day, even his own kids! They are just guys & I DOUBT he did it on purpose or to be out-right malicious. Get a sincere apology out of him & then tell him to help you make plans for the upcomming anniversary. Tell him he has to come up with something creative & romantic for your anniversary. (We won't be mad at him if he has to come to Yahoo! Answers for ideas :) Guys will be guys. Happy Anniversary!

Let it go. Maybe gently remind him that such dates are important to you and suggest some way to recognize this date together in the future. It is the day to day respect and little things that matter more in a relationship than remembering specific dates, which a lot of guys just aren't too good at.

Who celebrates a year and a half anniversary? And even if it was a legitimate anniversary, you didn't note that you gave him a card or gift either.

Maybe he doesn't know the exact date or just isn't good at remembering these sorts of things. It doesn't have to mean he doesn't care about you or the relationship. If he cares about you he will show it every day.
You should probably just remind him of the date, and let him know you weren't that impressed that he forgot. Have him put a reminder on his phone or calendar for next year.

I'm sorry to say it this way but oh please. The only anniversary that you should get upset about is your wedding anniversary. In my opinion, an 'anniversary when we met' thing is stupid. I would never put that kind of thing to my husband, as if he doesn't have enough dates to remember already.
