There are a multitude of reasons. Selfishness is the number one reason. If a person feels neglected or unattractive or something of that nature they look to fill that need instead of repairing that within their own marriage. It is all about ego. Thing is, the grass is generally not greener. Attraction only goes so far in a relationship, then comes the hard part....maintaining the bond when the initial passion wears off. That is what seperates the men from the boys and the women from the girls.

Sometimes the attraction is not serious. Just because she is attracted to someone doesn't mean she's going to cheat. If she does cheat it's because there are problems in the marriage to begin with.

From my experience a woman cheats because of relationship issues and not just because of physical attraction. You are thinking like a guy. Guys often cheat just because they want sexual gratification. Categorically, women cheat because they don't feel loved or valued. Sex is usually secondary to the unmet emotional needs women want.
Remember, this is a categorical generalization. We all are different regardless of gender. However, what I mentioned above is often the case.

I think women cheat more for emotional issues then looks. If they cheat because of looks they are very immature and should not be married. I think women cheat more because they are not getting what they need at home and the other man is doing these things for her. I do not condone cheating I think a married couple should communicate to get thier needs met ,then if they are still not met then they should divorce and find someone who will meet those needs.

Well she ain't gonna shack up with some guy she didn't like. Some women like to use a vibrator, others the real thing. If the ol' man ain't doing right, she's gonna go look for "Mr Right"...

if the attraction is gone than she needs to do something about it. cheating on your spouse is not the way to go. she needs to figure out if she wants to stay married to him or not.

It's very simple,. Cheaters are scum, and their motivation is immaterial. How can it possibly matter? Their actions brand them as immature, selfish, subhuman scum. I know that today we're supposed to "understand" that "nobody is perfect" and excuse deliberate acts as "mistakes". So, today cheaters are everywhere. Ain't enlightened understanding wonderful? I favor a law requiring a cheater be shot on sight, as a social duty- rather like shooting rabid dogs. But, of course that'll never happen.

Well, I would sure hope not. There's always going to be temptation, but a mature married person will remember the vows they took. Otherwise they shouldn't have gotten married in the first place.
