I mean I feel bad for her but you don't have to tolerate that behavior. Why do women put up with abuse?

i sometimes wonder if i had played my cards differently and had not wasted so much time on unimportant bull and stupid goals like a mba which was useless in my business. i am wasting time now because bad health has be down and just taking up space. i enjoy good food and some tv, and messing around of computer. but shouldn't i be doing something more imporantatn. my i should have done a lot more for other people. maybe that would have made life more satisfying. wasted time, wasted mind.

Would you consider a subconcious act like dreaming to be cheating if you were with someone else apart from your significant other?

My boyfriend and I were together 14 years, we have 2 kids. On New Years Eve after going out and having a great time, he said to me, I am just not into you anymore, and the family life is not for me. He moved in with his mother, he is 41. We had been apart before, for a year and a half. During that time he was seeing someone else. Then he told me he wanted his family back, so we worked it out. I thought things were wonderful, we always had fun, never fought. After leaving me and the kids for a 2nd time, he called the woman who he had been seeing when we were apart before. She took him back. I can't even get a date! He won't deal with our kids when they act up. He say's I don't live there what can I do? I get jealous because he get's away with everything. Everyone makes things easy for him. He lives rent free, then stays with his gf on the weekends he does not have the kids. He goes out has fun, his mother incourages it. I struggle to pay bills, he does pay support. I want fun too.

Last Dec my hubby went out of town (happened to fall on his birthday) for a business. The morn after he was showering and his phone was going off. I thought it was his snooze so I went to turn it off because the baby was still sleeping. Instead I saw it was a text. It wasn't the alert either, it was the actuall msg. It only took a glance to see the words "I love you" across the screen. The rest said "I miss you and you were here to hold me" I checked his sent messages and sure enough the night b4 he sent a similar message to the phone number. (Rules out misdial)

I confronted him about it and 1st he said it was for the guy he works with.. I didnt really buy it.. but let it go...kinda

Over a month l8r I saw the phone # had been dialed again from his cell. He got really upset at me at 1st then he got sad and said he'd been covering up his best friend's affair with this girl who was getting too close to home.

Oh yea.. the # was the same area code for the wrk trip.

If the divorce rate is higher than 50% is it really worth it to get married? I am 18 and I have been really depressed lately because my boyfriend and I broke up. We were together for 2 years and I feel like I am never going to stay with one man forever. I always wanted to get married and have a great marriage but it seems impossible to me. My parents aren't happy. My dad is a loner - always has been and he is not affectionate. He spends all of his time on the computer and barely says 2 sentences to me or my mom. They have been married for 19 years. She told me yesterday that she used to care that he wasn't spending time with her but now she doesn't. This was why me and my bf broke up b/c for the past month he hardly wanted to spend time with me and when I finally spoke up about it he turned it around & made it look like it was my fault and he broke up with me. I just don't want to end up like my parents and I want to know if it is really rare for a marriage to last.

Everyone always suggests counseling but how many of you suggesting it have actually gone themselves? For anyone that has, did you find that it helped your relationship or just prolonged the inevitable?

Here is the thing - it's not a good place now, our marriage. Without going into much detail - we lived in different rooms for 2 years. My husband did not even try to be physical and explained it because it was my fault as I moved out of our room. Okay, after we had therapy I moved back to our room. Nothing changed. Some people say "why don't you take control and put your leg on him". Well, easy to say, but I have no desire because I am used to feel like a furniture. I mean, he never showed any desire before. The worst is that I am the one, who tries to talk. Every time I talk to him, he sends me on a guild trip. I wrote him the letter, suggesting to go back to the counsellor. He does not bother to reply. Is he waiting for me to go up the wall so I leave? Is it just that he does not want to take any responsibility and just wants to be the victim, when I leave?

Right whats your opinion on spereated couples when a child is involved?

Do u think a) they should stay together for the sake of the child or b) they should seperate because that would be better for the child??

Also do u think that a child who is brought up by a single parent is at a disadvantage to children brought up by 2 parents? do you think that they are more likely to turn out wrong i.e criminals?

earn £2400 a month after tax and i spend £1500-1600 a mth on mortge & bills.(inc food shopping) i make sure the baby has about 100-150 a month for bits and pieces and i need 200-250 a month for travelling and work expenses.my wife gets £400 for herself . that means only max. £200 every month saved & it is starting to worry me.. I have asked my wife to cut her spending down to 200-250 so we could save more. i have already suggested making lunches for myself from monday to save 100-150 a month i spend on lunches. but she is not prepared to budge and says i am being selfish? am i? i dont think so. im trying so hard to make her and my bay happy but now i am feeling drained emotionally. she says she needs some comforts as a woman every month i.e waxing hair done etc.. and that i coundlt understand. i say why not wax from home? but she gets angry wen i suggest that. i have now started to do overtime at office to make more money and dnt get home till after 9pm and am so tired and drained.

When my husband I got married I made more money than him and I gladly when ahead and added him to all my accounts and credit cards and shared all the money I money I made with him but now that I stay home and take care of the babies mostly he went behind my back and opened bank accounts and credit cards only in his name (I found out cause he forgot to tell them not to mail statements to our home) and doesn't share the money he makes with me. We've talked about this when I found out about it all almost a year and a half ago and at that time he still refused to have my name on any of the accounts. I just let it go since, I figure if I would have married for money in the first place, I wouldn't have married him. Money is not a big deal so of course he is still on all my accounts even though I'm not on any of his.

I was just wondering how many other married couples do not share accounts and how has it affected the marriage, if it has at all?
