I am getting out of a relationship after 8 years of swallowing "the feminine mystique" garbage.

Do I want to be alone...or do I want to be nagged, hen-pecked, bitched-at, etc, for not being all things to all people...

I want to hear from people who made the move...the move to get away from someone you have grown to hate. This self-serving prima donna piece of garbage I have spent time with has denied me quality time with another woman.

How does it feel after so much time to say "f--k you, good bye"?

their partners. Alot of girls on here talk about this subject. Why would you check your man's cell phone?? Isn't a relationship based on trust? If you don't trust them why do you stay??
I have never questioned my fiance or I wouldn't be with him...

We have been together for 5 months and are living together. He says she is a good friend and that they just slept together once but didnt take it to a relationship. The last time they spoke he called her from the airport before my plane landed and spoke for 1/2 hour (until my plane landed) (yes i checked his phone) When i told him it upset me he said not to give him an ultimatum (i hadnt yet) that if I told him to stop talking to her then we'd break up. He says "its not about her its about trust issues that I have that will not end with just that one girl." Is this him bull shiiting or is he right? Seems wrong though, regardless of the reason, that he would end our relationship just to talk to some girl. (by the way she is in the middle of a divorce!)

I am in a marriage that has been plagued by both verbal and physical abusive. (more verbal than physical) I feel like I am dying inside and need to get out of my marriage. The problem is I have been a stay at home mother for the past 13 years to 4 wonderful children, and live in fear of the threats that he makes in regards to him taking my children from me. ( I do not drink or do drugs) His parents have money and mine dont, and I had one attorney tell me that money talks in child custody. I have called many victims help lines and really dont get anywhere. I have no money and need to get a attorney, I have called and talked to several attorneys and they all want very high retainers.... What do I do.....

my husband has a "friend" online that he talks to regularly. a few months back i found all of his im's to her. and they were very graphic. he says that it is just a game and he has no feelings for her. but he also wont stop talking to her. he says i have no right to say who he can and cannot talk to. is this something that i should be concerned about or should i just let it go? he says its not cheating since he isnt touching her. but they have web cammed together. he wont change his behavior so what should i do?

I've been married for 15 yrs. I have 5 kids I'm a SAHM my kids are all in school. My husband and I are at odds with each other right now for may reasons. My problem is getting him to see my point of view. He's self-employed so we only have one income I use to work with him up until we started a family. Then we made the decision that I would stay home.Needless to say I agreed not thinking that financially I was totally screwing myself. In the beginning of the marriage everything was equal. Now all of these years later things have become very unequal.Even though I don't contribute to the household financially right now.Is it fair that I have no idea how much money my husband really makes?Because that's the position I find myself in and it's extremely frustrating. He gives me money for grocercies or if I need some things for myself. But outside of that I have no idea where we stand we're in debt way over our heads. And he seems to think I don't have a right to know what's going on.Please help!

I've been married just over 6 years to a wonderful man who treats me like a queen and is sweet and caring to my family. We've been through a lot together- and have been in couples counseling for 3 years. We also havent been physical in over 2 years... We love each other- but are both wondering if we might be better as friends rather than as a couple. I always feel like I am responsible for everything, and like I don't get enough support or help from him. I am almost 32 and I want to have kids some day- am I a fool to consider leaving someone I totally get along with and who I love dearly (and who loves me)? How do I know if it is time to end things? How did you know?

yesterday morning he picked a fight with me over something stupid. when I got home from work, he was still acting like a jerk. we were supposed to go out for dinner, and I refused to go because he was acting like a jerk and treating me like sH\it.

Then later he was being nice to me (because he wanted to know if I cooked diner, and if there was enough left for him). I haven't really spoken to him since last night. I am tired of this. he only is nice to me if he wants something.

My husband seems to be really obsessed with the Mega Millions Lottery and talks about "when we win" this and "when we win" that. You and I both know my husband and I are never going to win. He buys one ticket every week. I don't want to waste money on something that isn't going to work out in our favor. Should I let him have his fantasy or tell him to get real??
