hmmmm...did she just not respond by words? Or not at all....like body language, eyes, smiles...?
You know - it is sometimes strange...when my man tells me he loves me then there is this warm wonderful feeling and I feel "cheap" to just return "I love you too", that sounds too much standard. Not enough. So...I prefer to not say a lot but smile or hug or kiss him. Sometimes I say something - but it is as if just saying words feels stale.
So perhaps this is what happened to you this morning. She may have been looking for the right words and could not find them. So you should just watch her body language next time and I suspect you find a good answer there.

She probably had something on her mind at the moment... Does she usually hesitate? How does she treat you? Don't question her feelings just from one morning, unless it's a series of things that make you question that...

maybe she was tired. Don't get your feelings hurt over 1 incident and ruin what you have together or get into a unneccesary fight. Now if it comes to a point when she does it all the time, then time to worry. Good Luck

well might be you realised after a long time tto tell your wife that you love her.. that's why she is hesitant...check and talk to her.take some personal time out for her.
