Marriage & Divorce - 30 August 2006

My wife and I had yet another fight this morning, after waking up so happily. It seems like whenever things start to go well in our relationship, she wants to destroy it. She has some problems, both physical and emotional; it seems like I spend all my energy propping her up and all she does is wanting to cut me down. She tells my step kids I'm stupid or uncaring but I spend every cent I make, cook and clean the house, and all she does is complain, or scream, or cry. I gave up a great job in a fabulous city to move to where she lives because she can't because of her kids and I hate it here. I can't stand this city, I can't stand my job, and now I can't stand my step kids or my wife. We have all our money in the new house and car we just bought. The company I work for is on the verge of bankruptcy. I'm over-extended financially, all because of this "woman". This morning was the last straw. I'm at a point now where I would prefer the street than put up with her another minute!!!

I'm with a guy who I love alot for 2 years now and we have a 1year old little girl. I feel just because I love him doesn't mean we should be together. We fight really bad most of the time. but when we aren't fighting we are really in love, but I feel the fighting is worse then it truely should be and its not fair to our little girl!! HELP PLEASE!

She probably farts more than I do and they are LOUD but they never really stink. We have been married for almost a year and I have only smelt one stinky fart out of her. Even her sister farts in front of me. I don't really care but it's strange that they don't smell. I am not joking, really.

Been together for 3 years and married for 1. It use to be really good before while dateing. Now that we are married he doesn't seem to want to do anything for me. He always has smartass comments to say back to me even when I'm just trying to start a conversation. I've been sick, really bad flu, for 3 days now and when I asked him to pick us up something for dinner b/c I didn't feel like cooking he bitched at me for not cooking. I feel as if he fooled me in a way and now that we are married his true colors are showing. When I mention this to him he just doesn't get it. I'm in counseling for this. I feel very betrayed by the person who was suppose to love me and take care of me for the rest of my life. So how do I tell him I'm leaveing or should I just leave? Should I repect his feelings or not?

I was listening on the radio about women giving their signficant others an ulitmatitum to marry them or they leave. I personally dont agree with that because ur forcing someone to do something they dont want to do. And if ur not getting want u want out of the relationship then you need to move on.

A friend seeking some inputs. If you were in HIS shoe, what would you do? His divorce been going on for 3 yrs, married for 15 yrs (with 2 sons - 17 and 19) and he is earning 40k/annum. He has given almost 100k to the ex during the course of the divorce (including equties etc). His EX wants to remain JOBLESS for the rest of her life. The EX will agree to finalize/settle and sign the divorce paper if he will provide her $1,100/month Family Support, and lumpsum of 30k. (This is just in addition to the 50% of all his retirement benefits). BTW, his EX cheated on her.

I recently found out that quite frequently when I am out of town or leave the house on an errand, my wife spends time on the phone with her boss. This even goes on during the weekend. I just think it's odd and definitely unprofessional. She says that he is like a father figure to her and I am crazy for feeling upset by this. He is fat, bald, not attractive and 25 or more years older than her. I have repeatedly told her that this doesn't make me happy. So after doing this again last night, I got to spend the night at the hotel. Am I crazy for feeling the way I do?

since Monday (father out of town working) I dont have a car (Im a sahmom) so places to go to are linited as the bus is just a nightmare and everything is an hour away on it. My husband will not buy me a car, and whenever I mention I need one he says "will see what happens" what the hell does that mean?
He has a fancy newer truck so I dont think its fair that I dont have a car, he makes over a hundred grand yearly as well.
I am with the kid way more than he is too.
I will be stuck at home until the weekend at least.
I dont have any friends (due to husbands jealousy and insecurity) so I cant even get someone over here.
BTW, kid is getting very whiny and bored after 3 days in the house.

We have been married for 8 years and we have a four year old and I am 5 months pregnant. I caught him in a whole bunch of lies and found out he has been seeing an 18 year old girl who just graduated high school. My husband and I are 26 years old. He is just being so cold hearted to me and cannot give me a reason for it. I am not overweight and we have getting along great and having sex at least 5 times a week. How do I act or respond to this? The problem is this, ive been with my husband for 7yrs and while we were just bf and gf he treated me like a princess and always bought me gifts on our anniversary. But since weve been married, ive never even recieved a gift or card. Not for any holiday or occasion. I always give him at least a card. It kinda makes me feel bad. What should i do?

my in-laws are hard to please, and i always feel like they are looking down on me with jobs, money and the way i deal with things sometimes with me and my husband. i try really hard to get on with them but have now stopped going round to avoid the ****. any suggestions on how i can get on with them or just survival tips to make life easier?!! ;-)

I have been married for 14 years and it started out good and then as time went on, I found out who my spouse was. He constantly kept secrets, told me lies or would tell me nothing at all. We have already seperated for a year and went through marriage counseling, groups, and seminars, but we still do not hardly ever talk, he Never asks how I am feeling, he is jolly and I am always sad.
